Comment: I am okay with Emmitt wining but I'm sorry, he was not the best dancer. His Hammer freestyle and many of his other routines reminded me of my dad trying to mimic the dances of teenagers when I was a kid. He was stiff and while his feet could move fast, the rest of his body was not with him. His personality helped him win, but love him or hate him, Mario was the better dancer.

Comment: Considering all the obstacles Emmitt had to overcome- age and football damage, he rose to the occasion in a commendable way and that's partly why he won. I'm so happy for him cause I surely thought the powers that be weren't going to let that happen.

Comment: The PEOPLE voted and chose Emmitt. It's called Dancing with the Stars, not Star Search. I'm glad he won. He and Cheryl did an excellent job representin'. Hell if Jerry Springer lasted as long as he did, how could you think this was a show based on actual ability to dance. Try some actual ballets or musicals if that's why you want to see. We're talking about a tv show.

Comment: I'm glad American Idol was mentioned. Because they are tops when it comes to proving that one doesn't have to have talent to win that show. That non-dancing, no talent Taylor Hicks personifies that theory and then some. I won't re-hash the way he imitated Stevie and Ray with the way he moved his head around(that was so disrespectful). Now onto Emmitt! GLAD HE WON!!! He is cute with such nice white teeth. Emmitt represents that everyday man, and made it seem as if Joe Blow could actually learn to dance like that too. Mario was good. I'll even admit he was better. BUT, Emmitt made dancing like that look cool and macho. Mario made it seem romantic...which would only appeal to women and maybe some gay men. I know 3 working class men, who don't know one another, that voted for Emmitt and almost seemed jealous of Mario. One of them asked me if Mario had 'cheek inplants' to get his dimples!

More power to the brotha I say especially seeing as how he had to "learn" very quickly and that he was not in the entertainment biz like Mario!

Comment: Hey, Mario stole every "Black" dance move he could find- and he STILL can't dance. I cannot STAND seeing this- its called "cultural thievery." And I am thrilled that Emmitt won- he fully deserved it. And the 'Ali Landry' thing- I'm still laughing about that bust-up!Remember, it ain't the entertainment industry for nothing.

Comment: I thought the obvious, that they would give it to Mario from the beginning. I think his instructor (with her hatin azz) wanted it more. However, I tried callin in all nite kept gettin the busy signal. Finally at 2 minutes before the lines closed for the nite I got one of my 5 allowed calls in for Emmit. Mario had zero personality all he thought he had to do was stand there & flex his dimples.

Comment: I am most definitely female. And I have to laugh at comments about Emmitt making it "cool". I have to say that my husband watched with me sometimes and he thought Emmitt looked a little feminine several times the way he shook that azz and swirled those "manly" shoulders. He didn't think he looked macho or cool so I guess that is in the eye of the beholder. It's all good as far as I'm concerned. I'm all about talent though and even with AI, I cheer for those who have it. I mean theatrics are cool and all but they should really enhance talent not distract from the fact that you don't have it. It is unfortunate that people vote based on other characteristics on that show in particular. As for DWS, I'm sorry but Emmitt looked my dad dancing, not like a ballroom dancer.

Comment: I'm soo glad Emmitt won because he worked hard at this and it showed every week. Mario is a very good dancer also, but he became too cocky and just knew he had it in the bag, and his partner's response to Emmitt's win was rude and unprofessional.
