Comment: I thought I was crazy, so I read all of her quotes twice. While it's not my business, Lisa (Raye) McCoy denied a divorce is on the horizon - but she did not deny that her husband may have impregnanted another woman. LOL. Besides, even if a divorce is looming, it's best not to "put it on blast"... it's a personal matter.

Comment: It sounds to me like Lisa Raye is just hooked on the status and title of being the First lady of an Island. She just wants the best of both worlds, doesn't sound like she's so in love.

Comment: When you think about it they have the perfect marriage - it's long distance and if he does have a love child, at least one of them gets to do whatever they want unquestioningly. Iwish them luck but like she said, it was too fast and in reality long distance does not make for a long term relationship.

Comment: Why does she feel the need to "dispell" anything?? People are going to talk regardless. You can't address every single rumor about you. Jeesh. Must be some truth to this one for her to put so much energy into it.

Comment: I saw their wedding on Oxygen's "Platinum Weddings" it was lovely. I didn't know "Da Brat" was her sister. I do hope its not over, hate to see "blaque love" go down.

Comment: People just like to talk. While I agree that Lisa likes the money and status, what is wrong with that? She doesn't have to be madly in love, nor does he. Folks marry for a variety of reasons these days. Girlfriend has been working for a long time and she's thinking security for herself and her daughter. And why not live on a lovely island and enjoy your career, too? I say go on girl.

Comment: Oh I guarantee the "love" with not last her. Men from foreign countries will marry and adore American women as long as they remain sexually turned on by them, but after a while they get turned off and jump to one of their own kind.

Comment: She might also be one of those women who believes in staying married as long as the man doesn't bring the children (or anything else) home.
Some folks have the ability to compartmentalize things. And what works well for one woman may not be tolerated by another. It just depends on your needs and expectations.

Comment: Relationships based on anything but love, trust and commitment do not last and we shouldn't expect them to. HoneyMack this is not the kind of blaque love to bank on - it's just another hollywierd hook up.

Comment: McNasty, I disagree. That is the way that it should be, but we all know people who marry for validation, benefits, status, etc. as well as those who stay in bad marriages for a myriad of reasons.

Comment: I agree with gingerg, the marriage for love thing is basically a 20th century thing. Historically, marriage has always been more about economics than love

Comment: While I appreciate the truth not one of you on here mentioned all the great things that Lisa is doing. It's just all hate if she chose to marry for convenience then so be it. If they are truly in love and are trying to make it work despite his infadelaties then so be it. Let's look at all the positive things she has done and not the negative in her personal relationship. That is what's wrong with this world all the hate and envy going around.

Comment: Gingerg & DOne you just explained why they don't last. I'm glad I'm not so new age as to fall for the reasoning you all listed, makes for a too short relationship based on basically air, as evidenced by the ones we've read about on EUR. CILLA this article has nothing to do with what she's doing and it certainly doesn't list any for us to commend her on.

Comment: McNasty; are you reading the same article that I am she has a non-profit organization and she opened a movie theater in the turks for people who other wise wouldn't have one. You are just focused on the negative and non of the positive. I think these are pretty comendable things not just her marriage.
