Comment: You knew how talented Rick James was by how destructive he was but being a die hard fan of both he and Prince I had no clue they had beef.

Comment: They didn't really have beef, Rick was a jealous of Prince in the early days of his career..Prince opened up for Rick a few times and almost stole the show..(Rick admitted to this fact years later), but he became a fan and respected his talent and genius...

Comment: I remember the Rick James-Prince feud, rappers take note, you can have an issue with one another without the need to shoot at each other.

Comment: I could be wrong, but, I always heard that Rick James was dating Vanity, and he bought her to the States from her native, Canada, and somehow, she ended up with Prince, then Prince started showing up at Rick's concerts in the audience after he stopped opening up for Rick and the audience would go crazy taking the attention away from Rick.

Comment: The funniest skits on The Chappell Show were the ones of Rick, and Charlie Murphy talking about the parties and the feuds they had!!! RIP Rick.

Comment: Thank God!!! Mr. James deserves to have a movie about him. He was one of the first to come out with good music that you could jam to in the 60's. I remember putting my speakers in the window and blasing the Mary Jane cd. I currently own a copy of his cd now. And people today are still using his music in sampling, for their songs. He told a story with his music, and Mrs Tina Marie was part of his legacy also. I will look forward to seeing this project come to the light, and will greatly await it's arrival. Mr. Rick James is a great icon, just like Mr. James Brown. They played a big part in my music life in the 60's. I hope the project gets done, and done right. I will be on the look out for it. Mr. Rick James will always be my HERO!!!!!!

Comment: Bigchassie Terrence can go to hell! He's not right for this role in so many ways but first I'll start with that punk azz voice of his. No way he can say 'I'm Rick James, Bytch' and somebody believe him. Then there's the skin color - boy is almost transparent - no they need to get an unknown that looks more like Rick and I'm sure with all the talent in the black community it won't be that difficult.
