Comment: Star is/was no more of a Diva as most celebrity personalities. Society, even black society, appearantly, says that she was just supposed to be humble big unmarried happy to be seen mammy. I am not saying she never went overboard, but so does so many other celebrities. I don't think she owed anyone an apology.

Comment: I am glad that she announced her departure in the manner that she did. Several years ago I was forced to resign from a job. Since I had to clean my desk out and before the news was official I took the time to boot my computer and then send a message to "ALL" that unfortunatley contrary to whatever you may hear.. i have been forced to resign. Man you should have seen then white folks running over to me to get me outta there.LMAO at the memory

Comment: Well I hope Star has seen the light and is changing. Losing her seat on The View may be a blessing to her. Every week, one of those birds has ticked somebody off. This week Rosie is beefing with Donald Trump about the whole Miss USA thing. A few weeks ago Rosie ticked off Asians with her impression of a Chinese accent. Joy ticked off people with her comments about the war. Seems like they are always drawing criticism from some where. Star, learn from your mistakes, re-invent yourself (with Oprah's help), count your blessings and you'll be alright. It's good to have friends like O.

Comment: I'm with Dean--Diva is the most overused term. Patti LaBelle is a Diva but seems to be genuinely nice and well liked. Diva and beyotch are not synonyms. No, she's definitely not! Whitney, as f*cked up as she's been these last few years, brought joy to many with her talent. What the hell did Star ever do to entertain besides pontificate w/attitude on celebrities & pop culture? But, whether it's called Diva or something else, her lack of humility was always apparent and IMO that's what turned people off of her.
