Comment: >GHank: I got into a long, drunken argument once about who was better - the Funk Brothers of Motown or Booker T and the MG's of Stax. Whether I go for Memphis or Detroit depends on the day and the mood, they both were baaad! Fortunately, Booker T and the MG's got to cut as their own group, which Berry Gordy didn't let the Funk Brothers do too much of. But with songs like Green Onion, Time Is Tight, Hip Hug Her all the way up to The Cool Dude, this is waay overdue.
