Comment: I've never seen documentation ANYWHERE where Tiger "refused to acknowledge his Blackness." He simply included his other blood since. Yeah, most all Black people are mixed with something, but he needed to look no further back than his parents and grandparents to see what that mix was (unlike me who just knows there's some white and Native American somewhere back in the day.) That infamous "cablinasian" comment he made was referring to when he was young, he was trying to identify himself because of his mixed heritage, and he came up with that word to try to INCLUDE all his ethnicities, NOT to deny any of it. Tiger is well aware that he is Black. He has recounted incidents against him in interviews (the many times he was called "ni66er", discrimination on the golf course, etc), and even in a commercial of his. The Fuzzy Zoeller comment made reference to "collard greens" and not some Thai dish. Tiger has dated different races and ended up with the wife he has. If they love each other and are happy, more power to them.

Comment: barnone: The cablinasian comment is definitely not an "i heard" rumor. I saw the episode of Oprah where he stated it - and it completely turned my stomach. Of all things why was "caucasian" the first part of this self-made term? To quote you, it was RIDICULOUS!

Comment: moonbeams> checked out the site. thanks 4 the clarity. with that, all i can write is it's very unfortunate, but very real, that b-cuz of institutionalized racism and white supremacy our people would rather indentify themselves as anything other than what they r. thanks to the kidnapping of our ancestors and raping of our foremothers i belive it's pretty safe to say that all of us have a lit bit of some of everything n us, however r roots all lead back 2 the same place...Mother Africa. and what so many, including Tiger, fail 2 realize is the very 1 thing they reject is n actuality the source of their greatness. what 2 do, it is what it is.

I also wanted to provide the information, because many times there are rumors passed off as fact, but since I saw this with my own eyes I knew that it was true. It was sad then and it is still sad now.
