Comment: No matter how tore up some of our neighborhoods are it doesn't compare to what folk are seeing that decide to go visit the motherland. Unemployment here is a 'cue compared to their employment. It's time for us to appreciate and begin to take care of what we have and each other.

Comment: that should have been 'their unemployment'.

Comment: First, I want to applaud Oprah Winfrey for her efforts in New Orleans and in Africa. She doin' while "others" are talkin' shyt!! Second, I hope that Chris and his wife work it out!! Hopefully what Oprah has started will catch on like a wildfire, and we will start to create a positive cultural/spiritual/economic/academic reality for ourselves and our ppl, instead of pouring money into the coffers of Jacob the Jewler and Nike. He11, in a beautiful vision, if a majority of our prominent athletes, entertainers, politicians, and high profile clergy began to make moves like Oprah, and get those African countries to sit down and come together under a common cause "for the good of the people" and stop all of that destructive violence against each other, Africa could be our heaven right here on earth!!! But of course, that would be too much like right...Roo!!
