Comment: I would be willing to pay for something like that! I'm not certain of the cost, but DAMN we ALL blow money at some point. Why not spend it on something that would allow us to learn more about ourselves?

Comment: They are doing it for free for those that can afford to pay for it. I would do it too and even pay for it as long as the cost is not exhorbitant. That's the reason not so many folk traced their geneaology through those websites because they ended up paying hundreds of dollars for information that may or may not have been authentic.

Comment: Well the last time I checked, it was more than $250 for the test. I think that black people should be given the test for free given the fact that we had no hand in the history that left us ignorant of our origins.

Comment: i did it. i reckoned i'd blow the $ on something trivial so why not do it on something that means something to me. i betcha if they said reparations would be paid to those who could prove their ancestry to the motherland by dna then money would be no object...

Comment: I would love to find out my African, European, and Pre-American Origins. I think the price is not too much, considering the value of the information that you will receive. I could give up splurging for a few months to pay for this. I really thought it would be like 10's of thousands of dollars to find out this info. Big-up's to African Ancestry, VH-1 and Spike Lee for giving us the opportunity to know about where we actually originated. P.S. Moonbeams, I have a kitty named Moonbeam and she is so special.
