Comment: The alleged "underground" story making the rounds is that the shooting had nothing to do with Busta it just happened to be the location where it happened.

Comment: Teigh, it had alot to do with Busta. He invited Yayo and them there, they got mad because they weren't in his video and the hot head that he was, started shootin'. Busta was right behind Israel when it happened. They did a whole expose on this in Sunday's New York Daily News which is where this story came from. EUR just didn't print the whole story.

Comment: The fact that he knew what type folk yayo and 'nem are and they had rival rappers there too means he had everything to do with it. I'm sure bustabuss was hoping with his 'influence' things would be cool but as far as I can tell he did nothing/said nothing to ensure that was the case.

Comment: That "no snitch" policy is just plain IGNORANT. That is one of the reasons why black folks are so messed up and black neighborhoods are overflowing with drugs, prostitution, murder and black-on-black crimes. People in the "hood" complain that their kids can't go out and play for fear of catching a bullet but, if more people collectively (if need be) would start "snitching" on those that are perpetuating the evil in these neighborhoods, then maybe the "hood" would be a better place to live and raise kids. The minds of some black folks have been bombarded with that filth for so long that they either 1). accept the trash (drug dealing, black-on-black crime, etc.) and just live with it or, 2) think this is how it is supposed to be in those neighborhoods. Black people that live in the "hood" need to start taking a STAND for their communities and the black families that live in those communities. If they don't care, why should they expect anyone else to?

Comment: Bad_Kitty you hit the nail on the head. I get so damned tired of seeing all these black folks on tv slanging snot over another black youth gunned down in the street and setting up flower and teddy bear memorials I could scream. The only way to stop it or at least stem the tide is for the neighbors to take a stand but they use fear as an excuse instead of a bargaining chip. I would break my finger off pointing at the guilty party and his cohorts for a move to another neighborhood. These street level shooters depend on the silence of the neighbors and for real, they aren't that bad.

Comment: I don't blame the family. I wouldn't want anything to do with a "man" who is more concerned with what people think of him than helping get justice for a friend who also worked to protect Busta's life on a daily basis.

Comment: The story making the rounds among those in the "security business" is that this brother's unfortunate death was due to his own beef, nothing to do with protecting Busta, nothing to do with makeing the video or who was invited, etc. With the number of rap artists and R&B singers in the house -- how come just the security dude got shot? And if somebody really wanted to get at Busta wouldn't he be "got" already.

Comment: Bad Kitty & McNasty, I agree with you 100%...these punk azzed so-called macho rappers too punk to turn in murderers because they are little girls! They rap tough and at the end of the day they're "grabbing their ankles"! Busta knows he's too old to behave like a kid...he's such a girl he chased his baby's mama into the arms of another woman!!! WHAT A MAN, WHAT A MAN!!

Comment: I am so mad at Busta.....I used to be a fan but not anymore. Bad_Kitty I agree with what you said 100% but part of the problem with people that live in the hood is the "fear" of retailiation and that fear is real and substantiated. If you have no police protection you are a sitting duck. An entire family was murdered in Baltimore about 5 years ago, the mother, father and five siblings by a fire bomb. The Mother and Father were activist in their community and called 911 so much on the drug dealers that the call center they knew them by first name. The whole family perished in the fire......you may remember the story because they honored them one year on the NAACP image awards.

Comment: Floridatan if more folk took an interest in their neighborhoods mot only would rappers not have a damn thing to rap about but the kids could play outside or go to the park again. I will always believe there is strength in numbers and if these knucklehead darkies knew there were several in unison in any given neighborhood there would be less and less violence.

Comment: McNasty I whole heartedly agree!!! Last Friday my 1 year old grandson was at my home for a visit;he will be 2 on Valentines day. My daughter called me at work and told me that he has an iron burn on his chest under his left nipple. I immediately called his mother and ask how did this happen. She says that her 4 year old son tried to iron his clothes with him in them. I know everyone knows where this is going. No sooner when I came home from work I noticed the iron burn with two steam holes under his right nipple...I called the police 5 officers came....forensics came, a social worker from child protective services, and EMT's were there and the head EMT said that the scar was 3' wide and 1.5" in length.. their is no skin to graph and that this scar will be on him for the rest of his life. I had the entire force in my home for 3 hours. I ask this girl did she take him to the ER..she said "yes" well come to find out she did not and I wanted to break her neck on the spot, but my home was too deep with the law...I found out that night that she has had a prior child abuse case against her and they took her son. That night they took my grandson and they moved swiftly because we just had a shelter hearing in the junvenile court on yesterday. Then to top it all off after the hearing was over she tried to fight me outside the junvenile court house. Of course she cussed me, called me this and that and apparently she thought that I was going to go back and forth with her....next thing I know the same officers that was in my home on Friday was pinning her up against the building and 6 or 7 sheriffs came out of nowhere....they witness how stupid and ignorant she was acting and you know what I did...I simply walked off and one of the officers said to me: "I knew you were the better woman" When my daughter and I pulled off ole' girl was in handcuffs going to jail..When I spoke with her on the telephone before I went home I told her: "the wrong person was going to see that bruise on my grandson and they are going to report you to Child Protective Services...she had no idea that I was the wrong person..Everytime I saw her I wanted to beat her a.ss. but I couldn't because I love my freedom..All of her friends and esp. her family turned their heads...I told the social workers, the court and any and everyone who wanted to listen that I will not turn my head away from child abuse, I don't care who child it may be...I learned yesterday that the other grandmother has total custody of her oldest son who burned my grandson until he is 18...I learned alot on yesterday and the system really moved swiftly on this case. I am mad as hell and I want to put my hands around her neck and squeeze it until my hands get tired...but I can honestly say justice was served yesterday....and for right now my grandson is safe...
