Comment: I was watching The View when Rosie said this and I agree with here 100%. Antonella can't sing worth a damn! I don't understand why they didn't send her home without a vote. That's how they did Frenchie and she told them about her pics. This chick didn't tell them nothing.

As the day progresses, I am sure Rosie will get much love on this board from the very same people who hated her during the Rosie-Star Jones uproar.

Comment: selah come on: reuben was accepted because he is a FAT man and frenchie was not because she is a FAT woman! to me it is the same comparison as old men vs old women getting quality jobs in hollywood. when men are the top of the tier who green light everything then ALL things must conform to their desires and perceptions. although there are many men who love plus size women they don't all admit it in public ways!! because the victoria secrets model is supposed to be every man's dream woman. after all she is more closely related in looks to the women in playboy, penthouse etc. you gotta know frenchie's type ain't NEVER EVER BEEN IN PLAYBOY!!! the racial element as well is to be considered in the similiarity of the guys at the top. some love the attributes of Black women as well but won't admit in public. but the bottom line in this particular situation is that the Black contestant was dismissed and the white one wasn't for the same infraction of so called misbehavior!! how each woman was put on the internet and by whom isn't the question to be answered or used to make the decision on dismissal. if each woman was on the internet in racy photos each should be dismissed--no matter what!!!!! it's just that simple. considering the color of either one and not doing the same thing in the same situation is RACIST.

Comment: Anyone who has watched AI knows that Simon comments negatively about weight to all female and some male contestants. They have this idealized view of what a potential superstar should look and sound like. It is all about presence, not substance. Once it goes to the public vote, any fool can win if their fans are persistent enough. If Frenchie had been a size 2, she would not have been dismissed for her earlier photos. Had she been white, it may have even helped her make it to the finals.

both women were not on the internet in racy photos. one was in "racy", "suggestive" or whatever you want to call it photos and the other was specifically for a porn website . how are the situations the same? I don't think Rosie cares a whole lot for blacks and I don't view her comments as "sticking up" for Frenchie. Her support, in my opinion stems from the fact that they are both heavy. That's all.

Comment: NJBLKGUY, on point. I didn't agree with AI gettting rid of Frenchie because she told them about the site beforehand. If Frenchie's supporters want to protest, then protest based on that but don't compare her site that she voluntarily set up to photos leaked against somebody's will.

Wait a second Ladies& Gentlemen just as soon as Antonella is kicked off of American Idol, we will hear about her posing for an upcoming issue of Playboy or Hustler magazine. Simon looks at the outer appearance of a person. Each week when Antonella “tries” to sing, Simon always comment on how great she looks.

Comment: Like I said yesterday, I believe that this boils down to the fact the Antonella Barba is hot (according to the media) while Frenchie is not (I'm talking physically, not vocally, of course). Most folks aren't fascinated by seeing a woman Frenchie's size naked, so when that information was released many were repulsed, while Barba's pictures had folks seeking out her photos and tuning in to see her on the show. Like Chris Rock said not every woman has "community t*tties".

Comment: Whether or not a contestant voluntarily put the phots on the internet or it was leaked is not the point. The point is that both women are in unsavory pictures that do not conform what American Idol wants of it's contestants. That means that BOT women should have been off the show. Bootanebootus makes the most sense. The American Idol show is a farce and I will be glad when it's off the air.

Comment: I don't have a problem with AI not kicking Antonella off the show because she did not VOLUNTARILY or PROFESSIONALLY pose for nude or partially nude pics for public distribution. One of her "friends" sold her out. Victorminator, you make an excellent point. Something like that could happen to any of us. I do have a problem with AI kicking Frenchie off because of how they did it. She told them up front about her posing for the site, and they were OK with it. It wasn't until the pics were brought to the general public's attention and they started catching flack that they decided she had to go. Instead of standing by their earlier decision, they did a 180 on her, and then tried to make it seem like they didn't already know about it. I think they owe Frenchie a public apology about how they treated her, but they do not need to kick Antonella off the show. She will get voted off anyway because she can't carry a tune across the street in a brown paper bag. As for Rosie, I agree with ChocolateBrownGal. She needs to get a life. I am SO over her...
