Comment: First of all I don't know who appointed white girl a judge of R&B singers, she can sing but she can't begin to know about being black.
It's true there are a lot of no talent wanna be singers out there but, she's not in a class with the likes of Gladys Knight or Aretha Franklin so she really needs to think before she opens her mouth to put down another singer.
Despite how much stone trys she'll never be black.

Comment: The words were cruel and biting but she was telling the truth - most of the R&B singers of today that are putting it down are men - the women are just high paid strippers who allow their bodies and clothing or lack thereof compensate for their singing or lack thereof ability. There isn't a Gladys or Aretha or Patti in today's R&B generation but there is a Jaheem, an Anthony Hamilton and I even like Tank's new single. Where are the women? Sad but to sn extent - true.

Comment: I agree with her "stripper" %*$essment on the state of R&B artists, but she should NOT have named names and definitely not Christina Milian as she is a small fish in a big pond just like Joss herself is. The REAL R&B singers don't get their just due - only the scripper non-sangin ones nowadays. Shooooott, Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Jaguar Wright, Ledesi, and the list goes on and on, there are several young ladies out there who can sing the Ciara's, Cassie's, Ashanti's, etc. into a dayum hole never to return but they don't get the backing, exposure or props they deserve. THAT is why you keep hearing the same 5 songs on the radio all day, every day.....

The sisters either aren't backed like they need to be or are attempting to cross over i.e. Beyonce. Now Joss can sing but she needs to pick up some interview skills because she's alienating the very same audience she's trying to attract. You can't woo R&B folk by talkin about R&B singers! It JOSS won't work!

Anita Baker or Alicia Keyes can't sing...LOL...I will take Anita's jazz tinged vocal's of her earlier work over Cassie and Milan any day of the week. I would even take the U. K.'s Sade (I know, not American) over today's younger so-called female singer's. Too bad Ledisi never got the push she deserved....she killed Luther Vandross's "My Sensitivity".

Comment: I'm azzuming you mean "new" and chart-topping. Other than 'Tasia..no one and has everything w/what's is promoted. I like certain singers for certain reasons. I like Beyonce cuz she encompasses enough of the elements to warrant being a superstar..similar to Diana Ross. I like Mary for different reasons. Faith can just sing. Fantasia has the same movement like that of Shirley Ceaser..neither have "beautiful voices" but they can sing. I think Alicia is kewl..but when I thinking of "singing" I don't think of her...similar to Maxwell and Erykah B. Good music..nice sound..that's it. I love jazz first..R&B 2nd. Ledisi is the fkng SHYT! Sentimental Mood, Feeling Orange..all of 'em. There is no better vocal talent than Rachelle and nobody mentioned here 2day can top her on their best day. So again, I like different people for different reasons.
