Comment: rhythm & Blues historians have argued over the years as to whether or not Ms. Zola Taylor was Frankie Lymon's widow. I'm happy that at last this question has been answered. I do know that the Platters were floundering as a group until they hooked up with writer/arranger/manager Buck Ram. Then they took off!! I thought that Zola had sung with Shirley Gunther and the Teen Queen's who had the hit, "Long Lonely Nights" but this story says she was the sister in the Gunther family. Zola was a beautiful lady and the only remaining living original is Herb Reed. They were a legendary, great group that will never be equaled!! The Great Pretender, Only You, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Twilinght Time, My Prayer, Washed A Shore.......what can you say?!!

Comment: The number one song on the Billboard R&B singles chart on December 1, 1955 when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat was The Platters "Only You (And You Alone)." RIP Zola Taylor.

Comment: Y'all don't know nutting about this grown folks music. Wow. Rest in peace lady. She went through a lot with Frankie. If it was anything truth to the television biopic, I would have lost my mind had I come home and found I'd lost my home. Especially during the time when we didn't typically live like that. Rest in peace Zola! Rest in peace.
