Comment: Well, LisaRaye rose the wave as long as she could. The show wasn't very good, and they eliminated part of the cast after the 1st season. I feel bad for Duane Martin though... now he and his wife (Tisha Campbell) are out of work.

Comment: The show really wasn't very good for some reason seemed to get better these last few episodes. Duane Martin does have much luck when it comes to sitcoms though. Tisha Campbell has a few under her belt that will bring her residual income for years and years. I was looking forward to how the writers were going to have Lisa and Duane's characters hook-up again with the new baby they were to create. Oh well...maybe BET or TV One will pick them up :-)

Comment: Well, Well, Well... now we will see just how this whole Lisa Raye situation pans out. She was overheard at her Birthday party in Atlanta telling a friend of hers. "Girl, I am very comfortable now, I have no money worries, and I have no intention of staying with a bunch of ignorant Coconuts. Well, the show has been canceled, I am so sorry for the others that are out of work, but Lisa the reigning Queen has no choice now but to Honor her obligations to the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands. She thinks that as long as she is married to Michael, she will be large in charge. She is in for a hugh wake-up call. He can be be replaced and not by election, but by the Queen's decision itself. Oh yeah, and the money that he is spending, building private houses for him and her,actually belongs to the British Government. I love the Turks and Caicos islands, however, like other Caribbean Islands, they are truly struggling, and the small amount of attention he use to have helping the problems on the islands, he is using to jetset his Wifey all around the country. There is so much to their story that was once quiet, well now she has no choice but to come home to the Turks for good and mingle for the better good with the so called "Ignorant Coconuts. Good Luck, ps. I also heard the Gary Payton's ex-wife is writing a book about being a Basketball players wife. There have been many written before, however, I think her's will be very informative. And Lisa Raye had gotten angry that Oprah didn't invite her to her Legends week-end, and in her own little manner spoke out about that. Lisa, you just don't get it. Lay low, and do the right thing, that will make you truly a legend.

Comment: I don't know how All of Us survived after the 1st season. It was never a good show IMO. Duane Martin has a lot more going on than people think. He is a very shrewd business man. He and Tisha have nothing to worry about financially.

Comment: It seems like those other bland-as-hell sitcoms get chance after chance after chance, but shows with black casts are quick to get put on the curb. This is a shame. I miss 'One on One,' 'Half and Half,' 'Eve,' 'Love Inc.,' AND to see them developing all of this other talent with the quicks really makes me wonder...... :oP

Comment: With Kelsey Grammar at the helm (Executive Producer) of both Girlfriends and The Game, I'm not surprised they made the cut. He is well respected in Hollywood so he may have had a lot to do with it. All of Us should have been cut the first season. Everybody Hates Chris is hysterical - Terry Crews is too funny. I like Girlfriends more now since Jill Marie Jones is no longer there. Her "Too Short Todd" jokes were old. The Game is growning on me. And lastly they need to bring back Half-N-Half. Mona was just about to choose one of guys as her soulmate. They need to pick up the storyline from there. Peace!

Comment: THANK GOD they FINALLY canceled this show. I could not stand Duane Martin's over acting. Lisa Raye acting was as if she was always on a period. Elise Neal was the sunshine of the show. BRING BACK HALF & HALF.....which I know it's not going to happen. That was best written show for that night. Every character played it's part so good.

Comment: Tony Rock is NOT funny. He appears to act on a delayed response-- maybe like 2-3 seconds. The only unfortunate thing about him being a part of a cancelled show is that the person who has to insert the laugh tracks when he acts is out of a job as well. The Game, on the other hand, has gotten progressively better. Oh yeah, I don't know if I can stomach another season of Girlfriends because it will only be about Joan obsessing over her upcoming wedding. I think they should have ended on the proposal. I miss Half and Half too. I use to love to tune in to see that mother's wig choices... Either way, I'd take reruns of Good Times (the episodes BEFORE James died) over these week azz'ted shows ANYDAY...

The father seems too passive for my taste. Girlfriends- I stop watching after Toni left. The Game- I've only caught a couple episodes.

Comment: From watching the episode on Monday, I could've sworn they were gonna cancel Girlfriends because it really seemed like a series finale. The reunion. Joan getting her dream. William and his wife reconciling. Etc. Maybe the writers thought they were done too. You guys are making me wish I had watched Half & Half. ;) But whenever I get nostalgic for a canceled black show, I turn to TV One. It has Eve, In the House, Martin, New York Undercover, Good Times and others.

Comment: I don't think that Lisa is the best actress in the world but she's not the worst either. I think that Half and Half was a funny show but give me Soul Food any day of the week. The repeats still come on every night at 11 on that BET jazz channel and considering the shows on nowadays I wish they would bring it back.

Hey LisaRaye'smy girl from Chicago, and the girl tries to stay on top, her family taught her well, gold digger naw---she actually had money before she even became an actress (not to say she doesn't want more.) There's always someone making comments about her marriage and her time on the island, we'll see what happens in the future now that she doesn't have her television obligations, maybe she'll become a regular Grace Kelly LOL! Anyway, Although the show wasn't all that good, you hate to see black actors out of work because it does take soooo long to get back to work, they don't have the ability to have series after series like many white actors. Hopefully the so-called black owned cable stations will grown enough to try to develop some first run sit-coms instead always depending on reality shows and reruns of the Parkers...

Comment: Gurlfrand> I agree, Jennifer Aniston is a mediocre actor, but she has huge audience appeal and she's "a draw" at the box office. LisaRaye however, has garnered a reputation of being difficult to worth with around Hollywood. Many film directors are tempermental enough on their own... if there's an actor (male/female) that difficult, unless the Producers demand they be a part of the cast, most directors will opt not to be bothered - that's what has happened to LisaRaye. However, word is, since her husband has access to money... he's looking at several projects to finance for her, just so she can remain visible.

Comment: Well I am glad Girlfriends and the Game were renewed for another season. Hell if all these other white shows can continue to go on and on why cant the black shows. The Game has stepped its game (no pun intended) up since the first couple of shows and has become my favorite. If you dont like them dont watch them, but dont complain about black folks working and getting there hustle on. Its not like black actors can really demand roles these days.

Exactly what is audience appeal in comparing the two? Jennifer is more....? Lisa is less....? Comment: I liked All of Us and hate to see it go. It may not have been the greatest but it was head and shoulders above most of the white shows on the CW. I am glad Girlfriends is staying, it just gets better every year. I am so glad Joan is getting married. Now, Lynn needs some help. I would probably like The Game were it not for the fact that they replaced my favorite show, Half and Half. Thank God for DVDs, I recorded most of the last season. I do wish it would come back, it was high quality. I also miss Soul Food. If the play, "Whatever She Wants" starring Vivica Fox and Boris Kodjoe comes to your town, go see it. You won't be dissapointed. Wow, the singing, the acting, Boris and Boris and Boris...Oh yeah, Tommy, you are so right. These start-up networks use black shows to give them a built in audience, but the first time a white show gets any attention, the black shows are dropped, no matter how good they may be. NBC has been in the ratings toilet lately. They are probably looking for a black show to save them about now.

The stripes never change they just fade in and out. I read that her Husband is trying to raise money to finance some projects for her? Please..... Your comment on how hard it is for a black to make it in hollywood, well, she had the main money black people to give her the role on the show. So she really wasn't struggling to make it in hollywood, then there was, ummm let me see, the Basketball players that payed her mortgage and so on. Now, just to clear the air, I'm not hating on her, however, she is not all that. Tell her to stop chewing the gum and smacking it like she is a cow chewing grass, and get with the duties she married into, instead of making fun of people who are trying to keep her husssssssssband and her in the luxury they are now most accustomed to.
