Comment: You know he didn't have a choice. he knows that they have so much sh!t on him, that to roll over and pay 100G's is nothing. If the victim is wise: he should take a cashiers check!

Comment: whatever the victim settled for is more than likely tax free -- since they chose not to go through the court victory they obviously already won by default.

Comment: Teigh, because Bus' and 'em knew they were wrong. He may as well have just signed the autograph or acted civil and he'd still have his 100'G's. Ain't even have to come to that. The same thing's gonna happen with his driver as well.

Comment: Mothership> Busta was wrong and he is definitely feeling the heat but from reading this article I seriously doubt he gave up 100 grand. He settled with this guy BEFORE paying the amount awarded (the 100K). The actual amount of the settlement was not disclosed -- I would guess it was more like half (tax free). The house was where the lawsuit papaers were filed and Busta does not live there. It would be difficult to prove the lawsuit was actually forwarded to him under those circumstances. He would be successful in getting the default judgement thrown out on that basis.

Comment: While I don't actually know the amount, it's a pretty safe place to start for a number of reasons: (1) the person would have to file paperwork all over again, the time factor; (2) half is probably way more than what this person currently has; (3) it's my understanding that only settlements from the city or state government are non-taxable; so halfing the amount is actually all that person would have gotten anyway.

Comment: Busta needs all the fans he can get right now. He turned a lot of ppl off with that "no snitching" crap when his body guard got shot.

Comment: Teigh, thanx! Yeah, that would have been the right move too. Kattgirl, I used to like Busta when he was with Flipmode and doin' his creative thizzle. But after he wanted to get gully with Ja Rule, jump on the bandwagon with Fiddy and Em and 'em and get all gangsta'ed up, he ain't been shyt since and ain't had no luck since. Would never have him as a friend either, friends like him, one damn sure don't need enemies!!
