Comment: The race card is an important privilege for people of colour. When used at the right time it can be used to gain an advantage over ‘The Man’. It really bothers me when people use it at the wrong time, as Wesley (and my cousin) has done here.

Comment: My cousin phoned me the other day to say he was stopped by the police for driving at 55mph on a 30mph road. Before I said anything he said he stepped out of his car screaming ‘YOU STOPPED ME BECAUSE I AM BLACK, YOU WHITE POLICE OFFICERS ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO KEEP THE GOOD BLACK MAN DOWN’. Shocked at the foolishness, I hung up(I guess u can’t choose your family huh!!).

Comment: Isaiah Washington was recently sacked from Greys Anatomy, he didn’t play the race card (at least not yet), cos he knew the dismissal was down to his stupid mistake not the colour of his skin – Wesley needs to learn from that. Co-sign with Mo’kelly all the way.

Comment: Wesley is not as ignant as he sounds! This man knows damn well what he did and didn't do and there is no way you end up with an extra 12 mil through several tax years, don't sign off on tax forms for several years and think your hands are clean! They just need to make his ink black as.s wash dishes cause he's gonna cry broke!

Comment: McNasty, lol, lol, lol, lol!!!! "They just need to make his ink black as.s wash dishes cause he's gonna cry broke!" But for real, there have been too many cases when non black folks have gotten jammed by taxes, Willie Nelson and Sophia Loren come to mind, I think Sophia Loren even went to jail for it in the 70's!!!!!!!

Comment: Here's some advice Wes - Fire the accountant who screwed you over, sue him for 12 mil, set up a payment plan with Irvin Randolph Scott, buy and IPod and relax and hang out with brother Isley. Ya'll can have some fun "In Between The Sheets", I mean in between the cells.

Comment: And jail is where he should be. Wesley is wearing his S.A.M. (stupid azz mofo) hat proudly by claiming racism for NOT doing something his silly behind knows he has to do every year --file his damn taxes. How stupid can he be. I hope old boy doesn't walk into prison thinking he's Monroe Hutchens from that whack azz prison movie, "Undisputed," cuz I'm sure the cons on lockdown are looking to whip that azz.

Comment: He wont do a day in jail! He will either pay about 10-15% of what he owes upfront, or he will workout a plan to pay the whole thing over 3 years. He will plead guilty to some greatly reduced charge and call it a day.

Comment: I would be inclined to agree except this is so excessive in nature...as was the case with Ron Isley. If it were JUST the 12 million in question...I'd agree with you, he could settle upon an agreed amount and pay accordingly... But the failure to file for 6 years is an altogether different issue, having nothing to do with money. The issue with not filing is a serious offense in and of itself, and we're not even talking about what amount of money would be owed for EACH year in question. In you post you talk about paying up over three years... It's likely he doesn't have some 30 million (arbitrary number) handy to pay over three years...otherwise he would've filed as he should have.

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: Ron Isley got 37 months for owing 3.1 million in back taxes. The maximum penalty levied could've been 26 years. If Ron Isley got 37 months for only 3.1 million and Wesley's case is 12 million regarding the taxes he DID file and not including the 6 years he didn't? My money is on jail.

Name: giantsfan
Comment: Mo, Ron Isley didnt go to jail for the $3.1 million, he went to jail because he was caught for the SECOND time!! Plus, that idiot actually went around telling promoters that he wanted to be paid in cash, so he could cheat the IRS. His case was so blatant that they didnt even want to work a deal. Marion Barry went to court last year for not filing his taxes for several years and they simply made him file and pay a small fine. You would be shocked to know how many millionaires plea out these charges.

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: I wouldn't be shocked...I know that it's common...but the type of idiocy that we're talking about here is a common theme. We all remember that million dollar wedding Ron had AFTER the charges were levied against him. Wesley is demonstrating the same type of irrational thought process right now.

Name: windwalker1313
Comment: MO, I hear ya! But, I'm betting on 'no jail time' for Wesley. We shall see though.

Name: mseffy
Comment: I'm no lover of the government, but the only 'race-ism' going on was the gub-ment RAC-ING to catch up w/Snipes and all those other fools who bought into that mess that was going around about not having to file taxes. There's an old saying that "if it sounds too good to be true, it's probably not true".

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: You know...I forgot all about that period in which people were "arguing" whether one "had" to file taxes or not...alleging it was unconstitutional or something like that and it wasn't required by law. That's an interesting point.

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: And also... Most of the people who make the plea deals don't get to the point of indictments and other charges tacked on...usually it's "settled" by the indictment point...and doesn't get to that stage or the next. In the past 6 months since the indictment, Snipes hasn't even HINTED at working out a deal with the government and settling...he's alleging blame lies elsewhere. He's trying to get off altogether. The path of least resistance would've been settling. He doesn't look like he wants to settle. He's acting like he WANTS to go to jail. You can't beat the government when it comes to 'their' money.

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: Let's not forget...Joe Francis, the "Girls Gone Wild" creator is presently in jail on tax evasion charges too. If they will put him (caucasion) and Ron Isley in...they definitely have no qualms about putting blade in too.

Name: Willie1986
Comment: It's a done dizzle, Wes definitely gonna do some time.

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: Stop the presses people! Wesley Snipes' people called me. He's submitting a response to me/The Mo'Kelly Report which will run here next week. Wesley Snipes is going to get even with me and set the record straight! This ought to be good. It'll be an EURWEB.com exclusive and will run in place of my column next week if it's to EUR in time to run on Tuesday. Ah suki suki... Wesley Snipes punches back!

Comment: The local Atlanta news showed the IRS taking furniture, etc. out of Peabo Bryson's house a few years ago to sell and apply towards his tax debt. How/why do the rich and famous think Uncle Sam and his nephew, Irvin Randolph Scott (LMAO, CrazzeeGyrl), are going to overlook them? If they hassle "regular" folks over a few thousand, don't these celebs think they will use a laser radar to find folks with millions? Since one-third of my paycheck never comes into my house, I have no sympathy for the rich. Pay yours like I pay mine!
