Comment: This woman is living up to her name big time. Fellows I think it's time to "double up" so you won't get caught up with triffling women like this one. Her greed is going to ruin her eventually because their child will not be 10 for long. Those years are going to go by so quickly when she looks up she will be a empty seed and will wonder what happen.

Comment: Now if she can't make 25 grand a month (tax free I'm sure) work for her & her child then she is beyond stupid. I just wonder does anybody ever consider the "character" of the person they lay down with unprotected. I'm not a 50 fan, but I have never heard anything about this child being uncared for or wanting for anything. I would also bet that in addition to that 25 grand, he also continues to give his son. Enough already...makes me wonder how much the lawyer is getting. Raoul Felder probably will get a stubtantial percent of whatever he can get her. This is one instance where I hope 50 prevails. There are enough deadbeat Dad's out there but clearly 50 is not one of them.

Comment: This is a cautionary tale, if you don't love the woman don't impregnate her. It's bad news to have a mad woman, a woman who probably hates you but has your offspring with her. I don't know what's fair in this case $25,000.00 is not peanuts. This woman thinks she should get a bigger piece of the pie and she is holding all aces in her hands--the child.

I bet she has a closet full of weave & enough clothes for herself to start a store. Some women need to be...*sigh* never mind. She will get hers. Hopefully she at least has some put aside for the child when he is of age.

Also, I can't imagine how 25K per month isn't enough to provide for a child, especially if it is true that 50 also provides a house for the child and the mother. Usually a person's rent/mortage is their largest expense.

Comment: I'm sure most of you have seen all of the rabid news coverage about Jessie Davis this past week. She was a 26-year-old white woman who had a 2-year-old son by a married, black Canton, Ohio police officer.
Well, it turns out he also has a child by his wife and another from a previous relationship. Anyway, she turned up missing on June 13 and he helped with the search. Over the weekend, he confessed to helping dispose of her body, but claims she died of natural causes. Now, a sister who helped him put the body in a park has been arrested, too.
He is being portrayed as a wild sexual predator (his wife and other baby mama are white, too) and the whole situation has spun out of control.
It boils down to one thing - terrible consequences of unprotected sex. He did not want to be bothered with baby mama #2 or bear the expense of another child. Therefore, he killed her and will spend the rest of his life in jail.

Comment: $25,000 a month?!? That child makes more in two months than I make in a year (not to put myself on blast or anything). And I have bills to pay. But I don't think it was a good look for 50 to roll up to the hearing in an SUV with a satellite dish. Yes, I agree that it's his money, and he can buy whatever he wants with it. But I'm sure the mother will now say 50 obviously has money to waste, so why doesn't he want his son to have any of it? I don't think regular mamas who look for added support should have to jump through hoops, but a mama whose child is already well taken care of should have to show documentation (receipts, etc) of why all that money is necessary.

Comment: Hidaya...you are certainly on the right track but I'll take it a step further. Most of the folks who have made comments on this article have obviously never been through a child support or custody battle in court. Firstly, the custodial parent (whether it be mother or father) do not have the privilege of going into court and stamping their feet demanding the dollar amount that they want to receive in child support. There is an algebraic calculator called the "DissoMaster" used by the court system that calculates child support according to the non-custodial parent's income and it does include ALL SOURCES of income. Don't take my word for it, Google it yourself. Though it may seem unfair, ladies and gentlemen, and though it seems $25,000 is a lot of money, it is what this mother is entitled to according to her child's father's earnings. As his earnings increase, so does the child support. And no, Leeneepoo, the custodial parent is not legally obligated to show documentation of how the money was spent. Curtis does have the right to request a hearing and let the court know if the child's mother is not taking care of the child and fight for custody, wherein he must prove her unfit. So you see my peeps, it is better to do it God's way. Take a wife, love and take care of your family and chances are you won't ever find yourself in a situation such as this.

Comment: Like it or not as another poster mentioned, as the father's income goes up, so does the child support payments. If 50 has an issue, he can always try to gain custody, then she can pay him child support. Think of it this way, if the two of them were together, she would have that money and more, but they are not so the child gets a percentage of his income. Many people may not find it fair, but it is the law and it does go for child support regardless of the income. Another thing, most women I thought wanted to be home with their children if they could, many women working because they didn't have a choice but to contribute to the household income, so why should she go to work if she has the option to actually stay home and raise her child? Yes $25,000 is a lot,but how much is too much for the complete well being of your child?

Comment: SweetieDarlin, absolutely. The law is the law, and Curtis should have to pay what the law states. He isn't too special to have to go through the calculations and court time like a lot of other "baby daddies." My problem with this situation is that 50 is quite public with his love for his son and how he takes care of him. It's not like she's dragging a deadbeat into court. If she wanted to be reasonable, they probably could have struck up a new deal during a weekend visit.

Comment: States really need to put a cap on child support payments beyond a certain amount. > leeneepoo, you said that if she was married she would have access to the money. That isn't necessarily the case. That's where the law is unfair to the noncustodial parent. As a ccustodial parent the law only dicates that I provide for my kids basic needs regardless of how much money I have. In other words, I could be worth 50mill and spend all type of money on myself and then turn around and give the wife and kids a 2000 a month allowance, send the kids to public school, shop at payless and walmart as long as the basics are met; food, shelter, clothing, there is no law that says I have to share my wealth with the family (now I should want to, but thats a different argument). In fact I don't even have to leave them money in my will if I don't want to if something was to happen to me. However, if I'm the noncustodial parent the laws essential says that I have to provide the best of everything if I can afford it. So in a since, the law requires little of the custodial parent beyond the basics, buy everything of the non-custodial parent.

Sometimes the drama is 50-50; and believe it or not, sometimes men are victims of low-down women. The best thing is for men AND women to be responsible and protect themselves. All of the pleasure wasn't enjoyed just by the man, so all the responsibility or ridicule shouldn't fall on him, either.

Anyway, I know what it's like to be drugged in to court four and five times a year only for them to say "Now Mr. B, please pay your child support and if you switch employment you must notify us within 30 days" and what happens, as soon as my kids receive about three months of support, it stops because he has once again switched employers. With that said, I still feel 50 should not have to pay more money. The support is for the kids not for me to get my hair done, new shoes, clothes, go to concerts, go on "girlfriend" trips. It doesn't not take $25K a month to buy that little boy some clothes, shoes, games, toys, ect. Even if she was spending the money on herself (her family too), and we know she is, $25K is more than enough!!!! They better learn to budget, he!!.

But, if any of you guys have any legal training, then you would know that a child should have the say lifestyle as there parents. Also, in some states when a man get a raise, the child get a raise. Not, in all states. So, who is it to say that she is not fighting for what her child is entitled too. Just because her name is Shanequa does not mean the money isn't going into saving for this child. Plus, it only applies that rule to non-custodial parents. Like I said earlier, if I decide to wear only expensive designer clothes and there isn't any law that pays I have to do the same for my kids, I don't even have to treat them equally as long as the basics are taken care of; I could send one to an expensive private school and put the other in public school. Now, I would never do that, but there is no law dicating otherwise. However, if I didn't have custody the law would say I have to treat both the same.

This is really a mess, please somebody explain to me how anybody in their right mind cannot like lovely on $25K/per month, what's that about $300K a year, please tell me what else does this female want. If she feels its a monetary issue, then the child needs to go with his father where the finances are. Don't you think that 50 would be more prone to be generous to this "mother" without her trying to force his hand for more money that he eanred. Well I'm going to tell you this (Sahniqua needs to know this) here in the State of Florida, in such situations, the child support judges say, "If you want a lavish Hollywood lifestyle moreso than whatt he child support affords you, then you need to get an education and a job to support such visions of grandeur." Now that's a good question, with all of this money that this female receives is she doing anything positive with this $ outside of raiding the swap meets?

Comment: Sexee I hear ya Boo, I'd only agree if there was substantial reasoning why she'd need such an increase other than being the round da way sistah dat got paid caus she gotta a baby by Fiddy. I hope he fights a good fight and she gets just what she's getting. What was the child's lifestyle before his dad got where he is financially now. Think from that to $25K a month, sounds like somebody's doing a baby mama drama BS to me!

Comment: At the end of the day, 50 may end up paying 6 figures a month to his baby momma! This cheapens the whole process.I have women friends who don't get one thin dime from their children's fathers, yet this woman gets $25,000/mo. from 50-and screams it's not enough!Sad,very sad....

Comment: These are not just everyday people. They are rich. Of course it sounds like alot to us. But, it not alot to him at this point. If he can afford to pay more take from me he will. We had a case similiar in our office. I wouldn't judge this lady, because we don't know what she is doing with the money. It could be his when he gets 18 years of age. Who knows? I applaud her. Alot of these women who don't get child support, need to persue it more. Instead of sleeping with the father and letting him think it is okay to get some and not take care of your son. It is not this ladies fault. I say put them in jail if they are not paying!! Then, they will know better next time.

Comment: I am for child support, making sure children are taken care of, but in this case $ 25,000 is not about the child but about a lifestyle the mother wants for her household--to be exactly the same as Fifty is livin...I say he is working hard for his money, investments--what is mommy doing everyday..and I have seen plenty mothers get by on less than that and all they want is for the daddy to be involved. Hope the judge is fair-
$ 25,000 should cover the 25 cents.
