Comment: I cannot imagine any mother being happy that her child has been caught in the clutches of a married woman who he has recently impregnated. Usher needs to look at the situation if your woman doesn't like your family especially your mother you will be walking a tightrope between the two women as long as Tamika is in the picture.

Comment: I get the impression that a lot of people don't really like Usher. I mean shouldn't everyone be happy that he's engaged and is expecting his first child? Or is it that people like Usher, but they hate to see him with Tameka or is it just haters doing what they do best?

Comment: It's not that people don't like Usher.
It just appears that he has exercised poor judgment here and is allowing himself to be manipulated. Mama is the other issue. A lot of people respect his mother because she helped him achieve success. Now, it looks like he's disrespecting her in favor of Tamika, who will reap the benefits of all of that hard work.
IMO, there should be no competition between Tamika and mama. In a way, this frees the latter up to live her life and she will always be cared for and paid.

Comment: >Star whatever Usher does is his business but I don't know anybody except him and Tameka who are happy about this mess. First of all the woman is married with children all Mothers want to think of their sons marrying women that has no children to start his own family with. She is still married to her husband so unless an individual have no moral fiber at all this in itself is not right. He is in an adulterous relationship with a she-devil, oh yeah if that was my baby I'd be dancing all down the street----NOT!

Comment: Arch, she isn't married anymore, but it really doesn't matter. Both of them are on their way to hell...and I really do believe Tameka has a Usher Cabbage Patch Kid and some pushpins with a witch's cauldron hidden somewhere in her house.

Comment: The sad part of this is, if his mother told him to leave Tameka alone, he will regret the day he did not listen. Yeah, he may think he's in love, but come on...she was someone's wife and has 3 children so if she didn't think enough of her kids to be a mother first, that's hella selfish. Where are her children??? One of my biggest mistakes I made in my early years was not listening to my mother about a person I thought I loved...he's going to be sorry. No one knows like a mother and if he picked his mother over this chick, he'll die regretting it, trust me!

Comment: I hear you, Stephanie. My sister married a man who had another woman 8 months pregnant. My mom paid for the reception and we had no idea until the child was born three weeks after the wedding. My sister had told her mother-in-law that my mom knew so that
she would pay for everything.
Over ten years later, he is still underemployed, running the streets and she is handling 90% of the household expenses, has gained over 60 lbs and serves as primary caretaker of their two kids. She periodically mentions that she shouldn't have married him. Hello??!!

Comment: Sometimes it's painful but parents have to let their children, especially grown ones, make their own choices and get their own experiences. Some lessons are learned first-hand, not by listening to others. And maybe Usher and Tameka will live happily ever after. I won't contribute negative energy and bash them. Time will tell. Besides, my mortgage is due on the 1st, and Usher and Tameka ain't going to be around to help! LOL

Comment: I could care less because I don't know either of them personally but I will say this in defense of Usher - he likes his black women. I wonder if the media would be bashing him and Tameka if she was of another persuasion? I don't think so. As soon as a black male celebrity sports a real sistah on his arm WITH PRIDE the media finds fault. So come ya'll, let's support the brother for loving a woman who's the same persuasion as his mother. Show him some love with positive thoughts and comments. Peace & Love.

Comment: I think people are especially critical of Usher because many see him as 'family'. He grew up before our eyes and have higher expectations for this young man who has already achieved so much. It would be a real blow to watch him get off-track, and I do hope Tameka is not his downfall.

Comment: My issue with Tameka is, where are her children? You would think she would love them enough to shelter them from any type of scandal. They should be a priority regardless of whether her and their father are together. They should come first. He just seems so naive. She may be a nice person but only she knows what her and Usher were doing behind the scenes of her marriage and his relationship with Chili. Now she'll have to worry about her husband telling his version of what really went down and its going to be a complete mess and who gets stuck holding the bag, the kids!!!

Comment: >amethyst You are right, you can see the trouble up the road but trying to convince somebody that is "in love" that the relationship is not right is like spitting in the wind, it's going to get all over you. Nobody can pick a mate for another person but, if too many people are saying the same thing you need to listen. If the woman isn't married now, she was when she hooked Usher and to me there is no joy in a union that spawns from adultery. I don't have a heaven or hell to put anybody in and nor am I personally trying. I just hate to see the kid marry this chick only to find out that all she wanted was a meal ticket and a guareenteed income until that child is 18 yrs old. The funny thing is this, you have been with your family all your life, they know you better than anybody and love you unconditionally. Okay, here comes the mature more experienced woman who lays the trap, at that point you aren't using good judgement and are not listening to the same family that loved you for years. Sometimes people completely fall out with family to be with that person and in the end they are the ones that have lost the most. I hope this is not the case but I have a quote that fits "you cannot build happiness over somebody else's ashes.

Comment: <pn2pr- Exactly! When the first article hit this website about the engagement, folks were dogging her out because of her looks, kids, etc... I posted that if she looked more like the "trophy wife" that people expect Usher to be with (i.e, light skin, long hair, skinny, etc...) nobody would care. I bet she could have 8 kids and be 20 years older than him, as long as she fit "the look" there would not be as much negativity toward their union. I'm not an Usher fan at all, never have been. But I'm not going to jump on this particular band wagon. I, like you, am glad to see one of our male celebs choose a sister who looks like someone I would see in my neighborhood. He isn't buying into the "hype."

Comment: Looka, just like we had to let the Bobby/Whitney debacle play out, we should just sit back n' let this one play out. Time will tell... Personally, if Ush was MY son, I'd respect the fact that he's a grown azz man. HOWEVER, I'd try to warm him and I'd just be waiting for her to do some scheisty schitt. She seems like a shady azz opportunist.
