Comment: I don't understand why everyone is jumping on Gary for his comments, why would people think it is so far fetched in what he is saying, he has no reason to lie. It is good that he moved on from the Bonds thing too, but I don't think he has a reason to lie about the Yankees thing at all, it just does not sound so surprising, look how they treated Bernie Williams after all those years of service.

Comment: I might give Gary the benefit of the doubt but you have to look at his track record. Every team that he's played for has ended up regretting having him on because of behavior issues. Now while Joe Torre might be a racist owner George Steinbrenner is not by any means. The way he stuck his neck out for Darryl Straberry and Doc Gooden during their drug situations speaks volumes and Doc is Gary's uncle by the way.

Comment: Gary is one of the few athletes that always speaks his mind no holds barred. If you ask him something, he will tell you straight up. My respect for him has went up a notch.

Comment: Being an avid die hard NY Yankees fan I must admit that Sheff is right on with what he said about Torre, they got rid of Sheff and kept Giambi, they tossed Bernie like he was Alabama trash, and if you look at the Yankees now the lone black player on the team is Derek Jeter(looooooves me some Derek Jeter, his daddy is black and as dark as I am, so that makes him black)Kenny Lofton, Tony Womack, Tony Clarke all gone!!! it's not Steinbrenner, it's Cashman and Torre and those two need to be gone!!!

Comment: The few black players left in baseball are too afraid to speak out. Gary is saying what's on everyone's mind, and it's quite noticeable.
