Comment: Stop talking about it and come on with this project. I don't know much about Carl Franklin but I do know that John Singleton, with the catalog of movies he's already made and directed will no doubt bring this movie in as close to tbe real story as it can be and still be played on the big screen.

Comment: I like Halle, but you have to question some of her recent acting choices. Same for Terrence Howard. What is up with that?

Comment: Gingerg both are showing their range and in order to move up and around in hollywierd it's necessary. Most folk are still wondering why Halle won for Monster's Ball - it wasn't just because of the sex scene - it was because she stepped out of the norm and did one helluva job. Same for Denzel in Training Day.

Comment: I am sure John is bring it and bring it big time. As for Halle, the last few films she has starred in has been box office duds! The only film that she has starred in that had somewhat clout has been the X-MEN franchise, and the James Bond film; Tomorrow never Dies (not sure about the title)? Even Monster's Ball was not a total success at the box office! I do wish her well and Mr. Singleton, though.

Comment: I wonder if Carl Franklin pulled out because of the people who were cast for the parts? He is an excellent director, its too bad this project is going to be in Singleton's hands. FLOP!!!

Comment: Well, Singleton made a mess of Rosewood. That could have been a decent movie.

Comment: There's something about Singleton that I don't like. He has about 8 kids and 7 baby mommies for one. I'm sure I'll think of something else before the day is over.

Comment: I think Carl Franklin directed "One False Move" which was brilliant. Remember Cynda Williams in that? She was terrific! I can't stand John Singleton. I think the studio probably fired Franklin because he probably didn't want Halle. I luv Halle, but she's not right for everything.

Comment: Halle was brilliant in Monsters' Ball. Brilliant! Each time I see that movie I am awed by all of the nuances and subtleties and range of her performance. But it wasn't the kind of movie made to do well at the box office. So nobody should be comparing the profits from X-Men to Monsters Ball.

Comment: Whatever happened to Cynda Williams. Last I heard, she got married and had a cute little girl. That was several years ago, though. Did I also read that she was once married to Billy Bob?

Comment: Khufu you ask a question you already know the answer to. As it is the only black movies that are greenlighted through with much speed are the ones where we are either clowning or there is enough t&a to make yt unable to say no. One at a time ImO ensures continuity. It's not like we can count on the jockey's over at bet or that bullshat 'our stories' joint so we must be patient with our black directors that don't mind putting out quality movies.

Comment: CNG you're welcome! I get tired of folk not seeing what's right in front of them - it wasn't a bad movie but it was more about her coming away from the girlfriend roles and the crackhead roles. Hell she did the damn thang in 'Die Another Day' and nobody has uttered one word about that movie - which was surprising. We need to stop pigenholing our actresses. I thought they would never stop dissing the girl for showing her titties in the movie with John Travolta.

Comment: Hey gingerg - No, Cynda was never married to Billy Bob. Billy Bob has been married several times, but never to a black woman. What's Cynda doing now? I wish I knew. The last thing I saw her in was "The Wedding" with Halle (remember it was the tv movie produced by O).
