Comment: Personally i think she's trying to do too much. How can you be effective, especially being a pastor, when you have to juggle all these things around? Being a pastor's wife myself, i know what goes along with pastoring a congregation, and it's not a piece of cake, not to mention being a wife, a pastor's wife at that. I know the scripture says you can do all things thru Christ that strengthens you, but not all things at the same time. JMO

Comment: I'm sorry, but that's incredibly arrogant of her. "I've done things other women haven't because of my faith in him"?!? As if she's the only one??? There are plenty of strong women of faith who have done more than she has because of their faith in God. But we don't hear them blabbering about it. We are all created in His image and are all given unique gifts and talents to use for kingdom-building. Seriously, people, is a line of sleepwear kingdom-building? If she is so proud of her accomplishments due to her faith, then she should be empowering sisters to do the same. I guess empowering sisters to see beyond her and her message would be defeating her whole agenda, wouldn't it?

Comment: Yeah she wouldn't be saying that if her pockets weren't lined. She is a joke. I really did like No More Sheets but after that, I just couldn't get past anything else. She does the workshops and women come out in droves but yet they charge and the women that need it the most can't afford to pay for hotel rooms, transportation, registration fees. You stop the collections coming in and it will be a whole different song!

Comment: Wow. I thought that there would be more uplifting comments here. . . anyway, more props to Prophetess Bynum. People seem to be supportive when Kimora Lee wants to expand Baby Phat into a household items line instead of just apparel, let her have a TV show on the Style Network, a fragrance, a book, and still model from time to time, etc. etc. . . . and I don't have a clue how many men and women that she's prayed for, preached to and encouraged. Why is it that sisters in the church are frequently expected to do one thing and stay away from multiple ventures? And as for her sleepwear not being part of a "kingdom agenda", who are we to determine what God wants her to do with her talents and time? Personally, I need to work on MY OWN endeavors before I get all "who does she think she is?!?" Bottom line is that the opportunity has been presented for her to act, and now the role is hers. And her comment about "faith" could have been the preceded by an integral part of the article that no one had the chance to read. Even if she meant it just as we read it, plenty of people are scared to step out in faith and make moves in life. Glad to see she's not in that number. Peace.

Comment: >Amethyst1 - when people of God branch out into multiple areas of business, semingly apart from the ministry, they always get criticized, but, they don't have a problem with secular folks doing it. They basically just want the ministers to stay poor and broke, because they are poor and broke and have not figured out how to get things going for themselves.

Comment: Trouble in river city: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2007/ 08/22/national/a200545D30.DTL&tsp=1 The title reads: Juanita Bynum %*$aulted in Parking Lot. The %*$ailant was her husband... On another note: I must say that I do have issues with her announcing that she's going to have a Talk Show bigger than Oprah and she isn't going to *mention* the name of Jesus. See, in my bible it says "At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow..." So, I understand her need to "go Hollywood" but if you are going to start a tv show, taped in your own studios and you are one of the premiere women of God... why exclude the very name of the One who is the reason you're there? I just wondered. I know that some celebrities make it a *point* to mention the name of Jesus ON PURPOSE in the secular arena, to let it be known that they will not be told that Jesus' name cannot be mentioned. - That is the real reason you hear so many Stars mention the name of Jesus when they receive an award. They are specifically instructed *not* to! And really now, we already have a plethora of talk shows. Why do we need another where the name of Jesus is unwelcome? What is the point? If you are following the edict "Go ye into all the world..." The rest of it says "and preach the good news or, gospel". But that news is that Jesus saves! And if you omit that Name or, becloud it in subtrefuge what then *is* your message to the world?... that you're cute and wear designer clothes now? I really don't get it. I sympathize but I think she's in over her head here. I take the Name of Jesus everywhere that I am welcomed. You don't have to hammer it over people's heads but you by no means abandon it in favor of fame in the world. "And I *if* I be lifted up from the earth will draw ALL men unto ME" is how the scripture says to handle it. She also said in the meeting that she is praying to keep her sanity. She's obviously very troubled and needs our prayers... and so does her husband, Bishop Weeks. I thought it best to discuss this over here on the Gospel side. Because this time tomorrow, they are going to have a field day with the story of her beating on the other boards, unfortunately.

Comment: Sorry y'all but ain't no way in this world or the next you can make a woman look 27 years younger than she is! Make up artists are good but God hasn't created the one that would be able to pull that off! Why didn't they just give the part to the 21 year old? Juanita could always find a more age appropriate role for herself.

Comment: Ok, I know that Dr. Bynum is soooo over the top, but it does not excuse her husband for his madness. Clearly since day one of their marriage there has been trouble. He stated himself that he cursed her out and put her out of the car on the freeway in DC. She should've ran a check on that Ni**a! He use to beat his first wife!
They both need help. Juanita has gotten so full of herself and she just picked up a leach on the way! He can't preach a roach SAVED!!!
I've been in a verbally abusive relationship before and believe me if I would have married the punk, it would have turned ugly and his mother would be wearing a black dress looking at his lifeless body.
My advise to Juanita, check yourself, your attitude and kick that leach to the curb and don't look back (like Lot's wife). RUN FORREST RUN!!!!!!!!!! Now can you say YEEESSSSSS to that, Prophetess!

Comment: Anyone heard of "Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm"?. Whether she is right or wrong it is not anyones place to judge her except God. Just like when we are wrong and we all are because we are not perfect it is not anyone's place to judge us except God's. Just because your sins or your wrong doing is not the same as hers it does not give anyone of you who are posting the negative comments about her the right to judge her or make fun of her. God also warns about "Course Joking" Why do we come down so hard on each other? What happened to "Love covers a mulitute of sins"? and treating people the way we want to be treated? How do you want people to respond when it is your time?
