Comment: hmmm, exercising my free will, I beat a person badly, prayed on it at the church that I co-own a few days later, apologize to Christians worldwide, finagle delayed court action, forgive the person that I beat down [God knows that the beat down person is at fault], then tell y'all to pray for God's will, how will I know when my ego and will morphs into God's will?

Comment: Okay, if youre not a Christian and you get caught in a scandal (Michael Vick), you say, "I found Jesus and I hope the legal judge will take that into consideration".....If youre a Christian minister and you get caught in a scandal, the NEW phrase is, "God's will be done....."

Comment: I think the storm engulfed his as.s when he rode out of DC owing more than $100,000 to realtors, mortgage companies, credit card companies, etc. It just got bigger when he continued to stand before God fakin' and frontin' seeking materialism and fame before Him. The piece de resistance was him openin' up the can of whup as.s in a public place! His image was already tarnished but few outside DC knew the scheister he really is so I guess it's a good thing that he has a blind following otherwise he would be stoned to death for the misdeeds he's perpetrated . . . in the name of God.

Comment: Hmmmm... I would have preferred it if he just kept his damn mouth shut! I hate to say this, I didn't since any sincerity in that statement. He "forgives his wife?" That's just incredulous!

Comment: This is the type of man who has a distorted view of right and wrong. Clearly, in his mind he has rationalized laying his hands on her. When someone is like that, arguing that you don't hit your woman is like banging your head against the wall repeatedly. Just walk away, folks...if you don't I got some Advil...

Comment: khufu I'm aware as you are that there are women that can work a man's last nerve. But once a man puts his hands on the woman, short of self-defense (and the case here has to be very strong), there is very little wiggle room. If nerves are being shredded, the best thing to do is throw in the towel, and get a good attorney to try and minimize the losses that will come with the divorce.

Comment: DC>..again...am I the only one capable of separating issues...IM NOT TALKING ABOUT HIS %*$AULT...NOR AM I RAISING THE QUESTION AS JUSTIFICATION...it is others who seem not to want to address the separate issue and the possible culpability of her actions her character in the relationship..so when he says: I forgive my wife" as a thinker my response is: "What did she do and what is he referring to?"

Comment: khufu, I think understand where you're coming from, because by asking the question, "What did she do?" the obvious implication is she did SOMETHING. And I'm sure she did something because she strikes me as a shallow woman, be she a "Prophetess" or not. As far as their relationship goes, many troubling things preceeded their episode in the parking lot, including the possiblity that she could have egged him on with whatever comments she may have been making just moments prior to the altercation becoming physical. But when you view this from the standpoint of the law and ask, "What could Weeks have done to minimize his grief with the law?", the most obvious answer is "Walk away." Walk away and distant (and ultimately divorce) himself from the relationship.

Comment: what Juanita did was pose a threat to her husband's masculinity and he did the beat down to azzert his authority . . . now that the beat down is a done deal, hubbie forgives his wife for being such a threat and for causing him to bruise his hands as well as scuffing his shoes while setting her straight . . . another way to put this is: he's distracting attention from his heinous act with his forgiveness: what a swell christian leader

Comment: Hi Kufu, what I understand is this that he forgave her because, it was described that they were sitting in the restaurant of the hotel and he left. She followed him outside. Now I can honestly see her running her mouth. Castrating him with every word she was yelling at him, and the only way he could shut her down was to hit her. She was castrating him by reminding him of his $100,000 debt. I can see her telling him he aint doo-doo without her, and how no body even knew who he was until she married him. Any man would strike out against an all out %*$ault against his man hood. I can see her in his face and his space. Anybody would react violently if they're made to feel less than. I've even done it. Yeah he's a minister and she's a prophet, but they're human as well. Was the violence act against her acceptable no, but it is understandable.

Comment: 1. The fact that there was a public beating means that there must have been a number fo private beatings.
2. Apologies to "every Christian, and especially to the Global Destiny Church Family, Sons, Daughters and Partners for having to endure this ordeal". Oh come on! Stop this first class nonsense. He should be 'repenting' and 'asking God for forgiveness'.
3. He needs to read a copy of "Teach Me How to Love You". How do you write a book that you don't live by?
