Comment: Khufu...MoKelly has a good article on the weekly columns in reference to the Jena6 that OJ should read. It is about personal responsibility AND the fact that AA KNOW or should KNOW that the justice system is not fair to us and that we should at all cost try to avoid it. Sometimes there are circumstances in life where people get thrown in the system by mishaps (wrong place wrong time, mistaken identity) but beyond those special circumstances we should avoid the system. I am not saying bow down to YT, I am just saying that a person like OJ who has beaten or rightfully aquitted of double murder charges should have stayed away from illegal activities at all cost but NO....he has had domestic violence calls to his house and now he is an alleged 60 year old gangster pulling heist in a Las Vegas hotel....silly man.

I mean really. Sure they'll have to get past the "OJ infamy" thing, but this case is weak enough that ANY defense lawyer worth his (her) salt could try this with their eyes closed, lol

Comment: TGen - Depends on how you look at this. This case probably wouldn't have been a blip on the screen without OJ being involved. He IS the target. Putting OJ behind bars would be a major coup for any prosecuter. All day, every day. They will give immunity to EVERYBODY in order to secure his conviction. Riccio, or the mastermind as you call him, "claims" that he did not know OJ was going to show up gangsta style with guns. Riccio also claims he has documentation going back to '04 to back up his dealings with the 2 "victims" and his involvement was to get them arrested, not OJ. He also says he called the police and FBI in LA and TX about these stolen items prior to calling OJ. If he is correct (which I'm not saying he is), OJ decided to take matters to the next level on his own because he did not want police involvement (with police involved he knew the matter would end up public record and the Goldmans would get the ish anyway). OJ has no one to blame, but himself.

It's just a little too convenient for me that this 'taped' robbery and the book coming out, that will now make Fred Goldman a millionaire, happened at the same time. I don't care who OJ dates(it's not like he was ever Denzel). From day one after his acquittal, White folks have kept up a lot of nonsense. They'll say that it was an 'all Black jury', which it was not. There were, I believe, at least 2 Whites on it. Then there was that civil suit. The suit where they didn't have anymore evidence than they did in the criminal one. What they had was a different jurisdiction and a White jury. Then 12 years of whining about how he got away with murder. How he's the most hated man in America....yadda....yadda....yadda. So much crying that after awhile I wished like h-e-hockey sticks that the man had went to jail, just to stop all of that crying! Nothing about how the prosecution didn't do their job. If anything they LET him get away with their half azzed evidence. At the same time, I can understand the contempt for OJ on this board. Because the way I see it, he is in the trouble he is in right now, all because he, once again, trusted the very people that loathe him. If he gets a next time, maybe he'll finally learn.

Second, his own family has stated that the book was a fictional account of the murders (his daughter discussed during the bankruptcy case for the company they created for that book)-- so out of all of the topics he could've written about he chose that?!? Third, it's not double jeopardy. It was 2 different courts, 2 different standards. EVERYBODY has the right to file a civil complaint, not just OJ haters. and Fourth, if the mother of your children was brutally murdered, are you telling me you would sign autographs at a Horror Convention?! However, if he did show up acting like the police with guns that the police say they found in a search of a co-conspirators room (which, BTW, he doesn't actually have to hold during the robbery to be charged for armed robbery) telling folks they couldn't leave the room (kidnapping) and taking articles that weren't his (he supposedly took some Joe Montana memorobilia and some cell phones), that would be illegal activity. Now granted, as I stated earlier, if OJ would not have been involved, this would have not even been a blip on the screen and the folks involved would've probably received minor charges, if any. OJ is being given the special treatment solely based on the murder trial--no doubt.

That is why when someone is killed during a robbery, ALL participants are charged with Felony Murder. Not just the one who killed the person.

Comment: Angel, we must be watching two different accounts. I've followed the story on O'Reilly and the facts are not as cut and dry as you suggest here. There are questions about the tape, a victim in the room who questions the allegations against OJ, the criminal history of the accusers, the, Riccio's role, etc. But yes, none of this would've happened if OJ hadn't just sat his butt down somewhere. Also, we can "think" all day long that OJ committed murder. But, to even "insinuate" that OJ should be jailed because of something we "think" he did is beyond my human belief. This is where people, in their quest for justice, go all wrong. We should not support people being jailed as payback for crimes in an unrelated case where there is sufficient evidence to suggest that the (in this case) murder didn't happen. I certainly wouldn't want MiJac being arrested on..let's say drug charges..and imprisoned for years because of his molestation case. MAYDAY>>I'ma have to read O'Kelly's column and see what he's talking about b4 I cast dispersions on him and his p.o.v. Is it an article on OJ and when was it?

OJ totally has a right to write books, sign autographs, thumb his nose at people to his heart content and he shouldn't be treated any differently from any other citizen. In that same vein, we all have the right to leave the front doors to our homes wide open and go on vacation for 2 weeks without someone entering our property and stealing our ish. Unfortunately, we don't live in a idealistic world where people respect your rights and the courts are equal for all. My perspective is dealing with how OJ could PREVENT some of the flack he gets and also getting caught in a legal system drooling at the mouth to take him down. We all take preventive measures, even though we shouldn't have to, in order to try not to be victimized. I don't know about you, but I lock my doors and I don't venture into dark alleys by myself even though I have every right to do so. It would be different if OJ was a freedom fighter trying to change the system, but we all know that is not the case. OJ does stupid ish because he's got a few screws loose and he's arrogant, not because he's trying to challenge the system to promote change.
