Comment: This looks like it's going to be a really ugly fight between Eddie and Mel B. Ed is going to use everything in his will not to give this woman any of his money - didn't he just divorce his ex-wife already?

Comment: LOL, the truth always rises to the surface somehow. My money is on the housekeeper. Her story is highly believable and consistent with what I and others gathered from that whole Eddie/Mel saga--that child is essentially an after-thought. All of this lady's actions are consistent with someone who got caught up, not a "hands-on" mother as the MelB rep states. Poor little girl...

Comment: I'll go with the housekeeper on this one. Mel pops up pregnant, blow Eddie up about it, when he didn't make a relation with her like she wanted, she suddenly brings this new guy, a nobody into the picture and now she's married. Just like that. If that isn't some erractic, crazy moves from the Britney Spears school of logic, then i don't know what is.

Comment: You know, when you look back on all of this - beginning with the infamous statement by Eddie Murphy about not being sure who the father is - you have to wonder what Eddie really found out about this girl and her behavior. Think about it. Eddie hasn't made any other statements about their relationship since that time (guess he really is a private person). She has been in the media so many times and none of it is favorable. Look at his track record of women. Heck, even Whitney wasn't this dramatic when they split. I think Mel was a rebound piece of puzzy and both were caught up in the moment. She showed her true colors and he dumped her like a hot potatoe. Bet she was crossing her fingers during the paternity test. LOL (just kid'n).

Comment: HarrisThomas, I feel you, this is a weak "news" story, but I guess the angle the writer is trying to take is that this is "news" because 1) the maid was only [supposedly] only asked to look after this baby for one day...the fact that one day apparently turned into four paints a picture of a negligent parent, 2) this "negligent" parent went to great lengths to put everybody in her business and try to paint herself as a devoted mom who got mixed up with a triflin man, 3) the discrepancy in #1 and #2 speaks to credibility and unsavory motives on the "devoted" mom's part. So basically, it's just another story about a triflin entertainer more concerned with self than child. Oh well...

Never get involved on a serious tip with someone coming out of a marriage - if you know it's only about hitting it, that's one thing, but to not use any protection and get pregnant, then, expect this person to marry you or start financing your life is crazy - no pun intended!

Comment: Mel wasn't married to her first husband very long - maybe two years. He was a back-up dancer on tour with the Spice Girls when she met him - she also had to $$pay$$ him when they got divorced. Her daughter with him is stunning.

Comment: This story has more holes in it than swiss cheese..the child was sick but Mel didn't ask about her so she just called to talk the maid about what??? If she left the baby and other child with her then the maid had to have a contact number and she didn't call and tell her the baby was sick..yeah someone else looking to get paid for blabbering to those rags..Good Lord..it's disgusting!!

Comment: I thought I saw somewhere were Mel B was going to be on dancing with the stars. If so, could all of this be a publicity stunt? If her name is out there come voting time people would have heard of her and possibly feel sorry for her. If this is the case, I'm not saying it's right, but think about what better chance to get the public to vote for you if they keep hearing your name. I might be out in left field with this one, but it does make you go Hmmmmmm.

Comment: I have never heard of anyone taking along their newborn while they got married. A newborn should really stay in the house as protection until they can build their defenses. About the maid- unless you have your household help signing papers talk about all of your business to anyone with some m-o-n-e-y...and many stars do have these contracts- I believe none of it. You do understand that Eddie Murphy is still making sure that "dirt"- true or untrue still gets spread around about Mel B. because remember- he said it wasn't her child until it was proven in court. So stupid not to be able to see through this "story." If a man left his newborn at home to get married, I'm sure no one would be complaining. And if Mel B. is a slut because she had a child out-of-wedlock- what does that make most women in America? After all, if you had a child, it means you used no protection, "ladies."
