Comment: Halle, tell me, will that make your baby better than the rest of children? Sit your old behind down somewhere and stay out of the media's face always talking about your baby like you're the only old lady having a baby out of wedlock. TIRED NEWS SHUTDOWN REQUIRED AT THIS POINT.

Comment: Sarcasm aside, she's trying to make a difference in the world that her child will grow up in. If that eco-friendly outlook is passed on to the child, while I know it ain't much, every little bit helps.

Comment: R U kidding me? This is really newsworthy? Like eco-friendly is the new BLACK. I agree with NIGHTSHIFT....eco-friendly nursery inside a 5000sqft home, filled with thousand dollar bazzinets/cribs, designer clothing, strollers, and baby toys is kind of an oxyMORON. Hey Halle...start with using only cloth diapers, washing them by hand and re-using your bath water and dish water. Washing your clothes in the bath tub and hanging it on a clothes line then we can discuss and eco-friendly nursery. I'm venting...I'm done!

Comment: Bigchassie! ROTFLMAOOO!!!! <> ChocolateBrown: LOL, you know that Halle will take delight in washin' them baby nappies by hand...for the first couple of days, until the novelty wears off. Then she 'gon have the maid do it. Do people really re-use some bath water!? I'm all for saving the God's green earth, but that's a bit much.

Comment: katgrrl, back in the day my aunt use to make us(two girls) use the same bath water. But it wasn't for the better of the enviroment. It was for keeping the water bill low. lol

Comment: Arkansas: When I was a tot, my family would have me share the tub with my (female) cousin too for the same reason. Sharin' is one thing. How do reuse some bathwater, lol. Do you keep it in the tub until the next bath? Just my asking that question means that I'm wasting too much energy on this, lol.

Comment: Okay Halle, you do you and what you think is best for your baby. But, can someone please explain to me how does one have an organic nursery? I know of organic food and eco friendly electricity. Is there organic wood and metal for furniture or organic clothes? I'm just a Southern gal maybe some of you more progressive northerners can help me out.

Comment: >Southernbelle - I have read about bamboo being eco-friendly for flooring and furniture but it's expensive. And, of course they use hemp for clothing, but the most eco-friendly clothing has got to be cotton. You pick it, weave it and then sew it and you can do all of that w/o chemicals/machinery as the folks did back in the day...right???

Comment: queeniebunz>okay, I get the bamboo furniture. I'm sure she'll spare no expense. Even though she could buy particle board furniture (cheaper). Is that eco-friendly? I don't know it all seems like a gimmick to me. Because at the end of the day to truely be eco-friendly I believe you would have to do like you and CBG said and go back to the old days of picking your own cotton and washing out diapers and I know Halle ain't going that route. Maybe breatfeeding but washing poop. I gotta see it to believe it.

Comment: EURWEB > > You are Halleing us to death. We don't need a day-by-day report on this unwed mother because she is not a good role model for all these little girls that just love her. Wouldn't it be a kick if Halle's baby came out looking like a regular black baby instead of mixed? Sorry you'll just had to say that.
