Comment: now if I remember correctly, Mz Berry was involved in a hit-and-run, blew off the person "she" hit and drove to a hospital, to make sure, real sure she got that tiny cut on her forehead taken care of. Her lawyer claimed she was disoriented. I'd be disoriented too, if I went around running people off the road all willy-nilly!!

Name: ind1chez
Comment: So do we condem everyone who has had a car accident ? Are you perfect in your life? Hell no. The woman she hit got paid and her lawyer made up lies to try to extort as much money as he could. And what the hell does the paps have to do with that ? They dangerously chase many celebs and until someone dies nothing will be done.

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...Yo, at least she did'nt blame the Blackman for causing the car crash...I just find it hard to believe that the paparazzi caused all this chaos on a busy street and then like the "fixer" cleanup everything and *POOF* vanish into thin air..."Halle, yo azz can't drive git a dayum driver!"...

Name: TAZBABY
Comment: The Paparazzi's are abusive. Look at all the camera lights flashing in Britney Spears' face when she is trying to go to or leave a place. Look at how they did Lady Diana. Its terrible and their should be limits. I would be mortified to have folks chasing me and snapping 100's of pictures continously. Media says the public wants to see these pictures, that's bullshat.

Name: SilentJay
Comment: Maybe the truth is she's right about the paparazzi, I mean I've seen other stories on ET or Access Hollywood about celebs being hounded by the photorazzi while they were in thier cars. Tom Cruise allowed them to take a lot of pictures of him in his motorcycle before he asked them NOT to follow him as he rode down the street. I firmly believe the paps had alot to do with Dianas car crash. Yes Halle was in a hit and run but that doesn't excuse the paps from going to damn far trying to get a picture of Halle comming out of Food Lion for god sake Food Lion. I got to say that again, not a movie set, not premiere of a new movie she's staring in, she carrying bags out of FOOD LION! The paps go to far but as long as we(the public) want pictures of Halle walking out FOOD LION we are part of the problem.

Name: whynotme
Comment: the paparazzi may be ridiculous and all but halle can't keep blaming other stuff every time she gets in an accident......i'm with bootane halle just can't drive and she needs to hire a driver!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: BOOT>i know that's right. she needs a chauffeur.

Name: WordUp
Comment: Halle can whine all she wants about them roaches swarming around her. They gonna run to get pictures of Halle more than ever. Now she's about to feel really miserable because her choices are either to stay at home or get mobbed by the camera terrorists. Straight up though, my personal opinion about Hollywood photographers is that the law must step to stop the madness. Celebrities are people that shouldn't be subjected to the chase. Everyone oughtta have a right to freely walk streets. It will take someone to die like Princess Diana before legislators tame those money hungry, outta control, stalkers.

Name: PBF_19
Comment: The paparazzi are vicious but most celebs that are followed by them want the attention esprecially Britney. I hope Halle is ok but why did she have to say to Tavis that she knows he or anyone else don't want to hear about it.

Name: CrazzeeGyrl
Comment: Get a pinto or gremlin and hire bubba an 'nem to drive you around. No one would be the wiser.

Name: cdnyc
Comment: I'm glad Halle and the baby are okay, but I'm having a little trouble with this story. Not the part about the paparazzi chasing her like a wild animal, because we all know they do that(i.e. Princess Diana). But I'm having a little trouble believing the part about the media ignoring the story. This is the type of story the media loves: 'beautiful, pregnant superstar actress chased down by crazy paparazzi and forced off the road in serious accident'. The media loves this type of stuff. I would think this would have been covered by ET, CNN, Extra, and all the other tabloid TV shows. I don't understand why they would purposely "ignore" her story at this time?

Name: whynotme
Comment: --->cdnyc that's because it's a motherf*ckin lie!

Name: stellababy5
Comment: With all that is going on, I would think that Halle would have someone to drive her where she wants to go.She can afford it.But there is some validity to what she's saying about the papa's. I don't know if anyone has ever seen this movie I stumbled onto one nite, either on HBO/SHOWTIME it's called suprisingly "Paparazzi",It stars the guy who plays opposite Anthony Anderson in K-Ville,Dennis Farina, one of the Baldwin brothers and some other familiar faces. The story is about this actor who now hits it big and how the papa's really work at getting and making up stories. This actors family is almost killed by them and it shows what he does when he's fed up.A Great movie to watch and gives you alot a pointers for avoiding them or getting revenge. How we can never forget what happen to Princess Diana. This guys family is injured in the same exact way.You can probably rent the movie at Netflix/Blockbuster or buy it on Amazon.com.But most of all I hope Halle and her baby are ok.Peace and Blessings!

Name: Gurlfrand
Comment: If I were Halle - somethings in her personal life, I wouldn't talk about ever again - especially this incident.

Name: katgrrrl
Comment: cdnyc: That's where I began to have doubts about Halle's story as well; the media ignored the story? whynotme: I think you might be right, but I wasn't there. I dunno. A story like that is a money shot for the media. <> PBF_19, yeah, WHY did Halle feel so comfy tellin' Tavis? What about her homegirl, Oprah? <> B00T, LMAO! At least she didn't blame a black man. I'll give her that. <> The paparazzi are stalkers with cameras, IMHO. It's one thing to get a photo of a celeb at the Ivy or at an event. But when you gotta chase 'em down in the street, in their cars, and as they're takin' out the garbage in that PJ's and/or a bathrobe only to sell 'em to magazines who rip the stars apart for bein' tacky, like they're s'posed to take out the garbage in an Armani suit or a Valentino gown and Harry Winston jewels... Gimme a break. These paparazzi say stuff to pizz off the stars to get a reaction. It's effed up. I wonder if every frickin' celeb in H'wood can take out a restraining order. Nah, I dunno. Can't Gov. Ahhhnold help 'em out?

Comment: Were there pictures of Halle minutes before, during, or minutes after her accident? If so, this would lend credence to her charge.

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: I really like Halle. I think she's beautiful, talented, and has a good heart. BUT, sometimes her marriage to the public gets on my nerves. She is feeding the same monster she is railing against. Every time something happens in her life, she goes on Oprah, Leno, the Today Show, Letterman, and any other program that will let her go on about her romances, baby, etc. When she does that, she makes the paparazzi hungry for more information they can dig up. I know she is happy and all but she needs to keep some of her business to herself. I am not really a Beyonce fan but kudos to her for zipping her lips about her private life. Halle needs to look at what happened to J-Lo and all the others who let the media in so much. She needs to push them back out and say "to heck w/what people think!". If you see J-Lo interviewed now, she is vague about her relationship. She won't even acknowledge her "baby bump" and she has learned that e'rybody don't need to know e'rything! Take note, Halle. Really! I love ya, girl but you need to keep your mouth shut from now on. For no other reason than for your child and his/her safety.

Comment: --->gingerg i know but it's friday, halle is exaggerating the truth so what the hell!

Name: whynotme
Comment: --->dcdouglass01 it just seems like if she crashed into a wall the paparazzi would have taken a picture of it first before they rolled out because they damn sure took pictures of princess diana's wreck....the paparazzi are some azzholes but i don't know if they had something to do with this accident right here but that's just me speculating because i wasn't there.

Comment: why hasnt Halle had a real good role since winning the Oscar and making that pro=Black acceptance speech?

Name: goodnplenty1957
Comment: .....SEE WHAT I SAY...EURWEB cant go a week without a justin timberFAKE, or Halle Berry (with her GOOD-DRIVIN'A/S/S)...cant go a week without a story with one of them on here. we know she caint drive..she always coming up with these excuses and really expect us to believe them..come on..i was born at night..BUT NOT LAST NIGHT.

Name: cookyd
Comment: Oh my!!! Just like the time she hit the other car and left the scene of the accident.Girl Please. You are just too full of yourself.

Name: PBF_19
Comment: Khufu..Her mistake was taken that part in Monster Ball in the first place. I lost total respect for her after that role and so has hollywood even though they gave her an Oscar, go figure!

Name: Renegade
Comment: Did anyone peep out that she told Tavis that "HE" and the other media did not want to tell her crash story? She threw him right in the mix with the crackers. She did not want the story of her fleeing the seen of the accident on Sunset Blvd. She never told the truth about that one. Perhaps she was on that 'ish or drunk. Seems very hypocritical of her.

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: >Renegade - “This is something I want to say on your show because I know you and nobody else wants to tell the story,” is what EUR said she said. You and I read this differently. I had to read it twice to get what she meant. She MEANT - “This is something I want to say on your show because I know you. Nobody else wants to tell the story." In other words, she wasn't dogging Tavis. She was saying she would tell him what happened because they are friends/associates. She didn't mean "you and nobody else wants to tell the story". It is a badly worded statement that can easily be misconstrued but she wasn't dogging him. To dog him out doesn't even make sense. You gotta give her some benefit of doubt here. lol!

Name: Renegade
Comment: >queenie..well see education is key because Halle focked up the wording if she meant otherwise. lol

Name: PTown
Comment: By no means, pregnant or not, am I going to use a deadly weapon (a vehicle) and make chase with someone whose goal is to catch me anyway. I know that they must get SICK of the paparazzi, but being reckless with your vehicle is unacceptable, both with the press and with her. The paparazzi didn't cause Halle's car accident. Halle caused Halle's car accident. This may not be the positive and popular opinion, but (as someone else mentioned) haven't you noticed that everytime something happens to Halle, she blames is on a multitude of things: Her mixed identity, her daddy abandoning her, the men mistreating her, now it's the paparazzi, and soon Gabriel will be in trouble too, and that baby if he/she don't watch it. :) And if my memory serves me correct (as is the consensus with other people here) she's no stranger to the hit and run scene.

Name: domer
Comment: Interesting. When the story broke she claimed she blacked out due to her diabetes. Now it is that she was chased by photogs...who didn't manage to get any photo's mind you...is she capable of telling the truth?

Name: Renegade
Comment: excellent point domer.

Name: khufu
Comment: PBF..interesting, you think Hollywood both loved her by giving Oscar and also ostracized her for accepting the role in the first place?

Name: KILLERMEG
Comment: I can believe it. We would not be tortured into knowing Brittney runs around airing out the kitty if it werent for them swarming people's rides to the point they cant even drive! Its just ridiculous. And that movie "Paparazzi" was good. Dude showed them in the end who was in charge.

Name: WordUp
Comment: We must remember Halle is prone to having car accidents due to her medical condition. While she's driving, Halle most likely has diabetic reactions. Too much sugar in the blood makes a diabetic go into a coma-like state, or they just pass out, or feel like they're sleepy. Halle looks great, but she's not talking about her diabetic reactions. Like all diabetics, she definitely has the reactions too. Halle should really stop driving particularly while she's pregnant. Somebody holla at her about that. DIABETES + DRIVING = DANGEROUS

Name: KILLERMEG
Comment: And you see Gary Dordan wasnt having it. He whooped paparazzi's azz! LOL! But then they have the nerve to sue celebs & WIN! WTF is really good?!

Name: KILLERMEG
Comment: PBF-In her recent movie with Bruce Willis, Gary Dourdan (dude who I just said beat paparazzi's azz-from CSI with the green eyes) bangs her out in that movie too. Halle don gat loose after Monster's Ball! LOL!

Name: whynotme
Comment: --->WordUp if the accident was do to her diabetes then why didn't she just say that....face it she sucks as a driver!

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: Halle: I went into the supermarket to pick up a loaf of bread and guess what? The paparazzi took the last loaf of Wonder bread. All they left was the whole wheat and I don't like dark bread anymore...I gave it a try but it left a bitter taste in my mouth...I only like white Wonder bread now and not only did the paparazzi take the last loaf they also crashed into my shopping cart knocking everything over...Then they just fled the scene...Leaving me with broken eggs, spilled milk...It was terrible Tavis and the media didn't do anything to help me...They also crashed into an old White lady's cart and blamed me Tavis: WTF did you just say?...Whats wrong with dark bread? It's a lot better than that proccessed white stuff...Yuk, yuk...ahhhh Halle good to have you on the show....

Comment: To ind1chez > They dangerously chase many celebs and until someone dies nothing will be done.> Someone did die...remember Princess Diana???

Name: Train
Comment: I hope that she's not the one driving to the hospital when she has that white baby.

Name: WordUp
Comment: @whynotme - Halle seems to be self-conscious about her diabetes. That's one thing that I don't hear her running her mouth about. Diabetics definitely suck as drivers, no diabetics because most of us here will be getting that disease! But diabetics frequently have car accidents. I know because my husband has been diabetic since he was 11. He has totalled many cars. Thank God for his nine lives.

Name: WordUp
Comment: *no offense diabetics*

Comment: Khufu...exactly. They won't award a female actor with an award for a positive role so they gave her an Oscar but they don't respect her, they love seeing her nakedness though.

Comment: B00T, honey... I know that you mentioned that you have a girlfriend. But if the schitt don't work out, call me! You are priceless, ROTFLMAO! <> Whynotme & PTown, y'all cold and unforgiving, lol!!!

Comment: I meant to say Black female actor

Name: SilentJay
Comment: HOLD on PBF, did you see Monsters Ball? She didn't get that oscar for being naked she got that role portraying an angry womann on the brink of homelessness with husband on death row and an son borderlining on obesity. The closest role she had to that role before was Losing Isaiah or even Dorothy Dandridge. But every other role in between has Halle as the object of men's desires. She's played the beautiful woman in alot of roles but Monsters' Ball was different, She looked busted from head to toe in that role, she was angry and abusive. The scene when she hits her chunky son and knocks him to the floor was especially harsh but you believed she was that cruel, then when her son is the emergency room dying on a gurnee after being hit by a car that same abusive mother she played damn near broke down that glass window between her and the ER doctors because she knew her son was dead. The whole sex scene things was blown up because it was interacial. White people have sex on the screen all the time and it's brushed as perfectly normal but interacial or even all black love scenes are on the screen, like Jason's Lyric for example are blown up by the media like human of different a/o similar skin tone rarely have sex, give me a break. Halle her self is the product of interacial coupling and she regarded as one of the most beautiful women in the world. . the sex scence was less tha 40 seconds and that was light compared to all the other intense scenes in that film. Yes Julia Roberts has been given alot of props but she also been given meatier roles to play since she first broke out in Pretty woman and thats the true problem not Halle being naked, I mean her breats were out in Sword Fish and H-wood didn't give her an Oscar for that so come on people get over the nake thing please. Halle got that award for being broken woman who's losing everything. Rarely is Halle, or Jada or Regina, Nia, Vivica given as many deep roles as Julia has been given, thats the real tragedy here.

Name: katgrrrl
Comment: Whynotme: I'm just messin' with y'all...and ya cold a$$es! Happy Friday! <> My uncle has diabetes. Fortunately, he hasn't been in any accidents. He just drives slow as molasses. If he's 10 minutes away, expect to wait no less than 30 minutes. Better safe than sorry, I guess. <> I thought Monster's Ball was a good, interesting story. I didn't think the "love" scene was necessary in any way, shape or form though. That was just gratuitous. "Make me feel good." Spare me.

Name: whynotme
Comment: -->SilentJay halle didn't deserve an oscar for monster's ball and nobody in it could act including halle. everyone acted like they were reading from a cue card.......i agree with katgrrl about the love scene being unnecessary.

Name: SilentJay
Comment: Ok whynotme thats your opinion but I disagree with on that. As for the movie it self: PDiddy and Mos Def had strong supporting roles that took out of thier normal elements. Even the late Peter Boyle who played the dad on Every Body Loves Raymond was good as an old Racist S.O.B. I think your judging the whole movie on one scene, I mean there's a suicide, there's a dead child, PDiddy being walking the green mile and Heath Ledger the prison guard vomiting all over himself as they walk him towards the electric chair. It may not have been the greatest movie every made but to judge one sex scenne(There were two if you count Heath with prostitute that no one freaked out about) isn't fair.

Name: MER82
Comment: SilentJay you spoke on it Brotha. Not to mention that the movie was directed by a BLACK man. At any rate, the movie was very moving, it was morbid, it was depressing and I think impressive acting from the entire cast. That some black folk want to cry about a sex scene that true was gratuitous, just speaks to a limited mindset. We can discuss the fact that racism plays a part in that they gave her the oscar for it but there was also a deep story told in that film, and you did feel it (no pun) and didn't think of it as Halle on screen. Shiyt its time for black folk to bury their hate for that muthafukking scene. If it had been Brad Pitt's azz we wouldn't even still be talking about it.

Name: Gurlfrand
Comment: >PBF - maybe nobody wants to see Julia naked in a movie.

Name: whynotme
Comment: --->SilentJay i didn't say the movie sucked because of the sex scene i said i agree that it was unnecessary in the movie.....the movie sucked to me because it was just bad acting all away around for everybody and it had nothing to do with the sex scene.....i actually don't see the big deal about it just two dirty looking people having sex....if you enjoyed it the kudos to you but i didn't with or without the sex scene.

Name: Gurlfrand
Comment: Bravo - MER82 - to this very day, I don't understand why so many black people were so offended at Halle's role in Monster's Ball - the movie was the type that you sit there and think about each scene, and why the people in these scenes are experiencing what they are involved in - I thought it was awesome drama to the core, but, most moviegoers are not at that level of understanding - and probably appreciate Halle more in a comedy role, like the one she did with Joseph Phillips and Tommy Davidson - which I enjoyed, but, Monsters, Jungle Fever, and hopefully, this one coming out in theaters today, will also be another level up for Ms. Berry.

Name: katgrrrl
Comment: MER82: Did you not read all of my opinion of Monster's Ball or just my opinion of the sex scene? Yeah I'm gonna comment on it; it's part of the movie.

Name: SilentJay
Comment: Okay whynotme, you apparently have a problem with sex scenes period thats fine be me. I've seen movies that gratuitous scenes of sex and violence in them I thought to myself that wasn't neceesary. I didn't enjoy that scene in Monsters Ball by the way I just think that people who say Halle got the Oscar for it are just plain wrong,

Name: MER82
Comment: Ummm katgrrrl-I don't believe I was referring to you specifically? I used you word gratuitous because I agree that it was an over the top scene. But I do know that I agreed with SilentJay and for one am tired of every article on Halle having posts complaining about the entire movie based off of one scene especially when half of them haven't even seen it, no doubt.

Comment: --->SilentJay so now because i commented on one sex scene in a movie you know enough about me to say i don't like sex scenes period....OK....like i stated before i like halle and she is one of my favorite actresses but i didn't like monster's ball and it had nothing to do with the sex scene at all.....and fyi, i like sex scenes just fine in movies when they are relevant to the movie.

Name: Angel
Comment: I actually liked Monster's Ball. I didn't think the sex scene was gratuitous, just a little too graphic for my taste. That woman was completely broken and had lost everything. If you don't think a person in that position would succomb to a "make me feel good" moment, then you're just not looking at the reality of her character at that point. That dude was the only somebody that helped her during the worst days of her life. She was grasping for any semblance of affection and love just to hold on and make it another day. I felt her pain and understood her actions.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: let's face it..monsters' ball skd as bad as a novice using her teeth on a penis..sex scene and all.

Name: Angel
Comment: Whatever Musb. LOL All I know is that I cried like a baby through most of that movie and when I wasn't crying I was angry, so it touched me.

Name: katgrrrl
Comment: Musb: LMAO, ya crazy! <> Angel, I didn't even try to look at it that way. But the way you broke that "make me feel good" moment down made some sense. I still think it coulda been done more tastefully, then again it was raw like the rest of the movie. Not pretty at all and very real. Mmmm...I only wish someone could've told Halle's character that she needed Jesus, not jizm. Then again, it seemed to do the trick for her, so...

Name: MistaO
Comment: Aw yall dancing around that scene in monsters ball. On the real, it was a huge slap in the face to Black people, men in particular. See, let me help you realise, this was supposedly the biggest Black starlett, openly desired by many white men. Now what better way to "slap" us in the face than have her getting backsided by an ole azz white man, the very man who's playing her husbands executioner! Sad that many blacks could not make the connection between that whole pitiful story and our collective historical experience of Slavery. White male total control over all aspects of Black life. Again, I ask the question: would you ever see the premier White starlett getting "done" by Tyreese, or Westly? I think not. Plus the "Blackman" who directed that film clearly does not recognize the importance of image and it's impact. Ultimately this was just another veiled attack on the Black male/female union.

Name: MzTee
Comment: SilentJay, MER82, and Angel...I agree with y'all 100% regarding Monster's Ball. I liked the movie and thought Halle was good in it. And I agree with SilentJay that folks always point to the sex scene because it was an interracial sex scene. I asked some brothers in the barber shop who were up in arms about the movie would they have liked the movie better if her love interest were Denzel vs. Billy Bob Thornton and they all said 'Yeah.'Anyhoo, I'm glad Halle and her baby were unharmed. For the reminder of her pregnancy she should try to stay out of the public eye as much as possible and lord knows she can afford a personal driver.

Name: Beezyuu
Comment: Beautiful Beautiful Halle, blah blah blah, we all love her dearly but let's hope that when she becomes a mother she'll grow up and stop b!tching soo much. Don't worry Halle, nothing is going to interfere with your beauty.

Comment: Dang I haven't heard this many LESBIANS talk since watching Tela Tequila show where she has 16 guys and 16 girls compete for her love on MTV the point is if Halle can't drive and the Paazz azz caused her accident and theres a cure for diabetes you just need to know where to get it and treat it and don't ask your DOCTOR cause they will laugh at your AZZ and hand you A BILL

Name: Nonnie
Comment: There is something very fishy about Halle not reporting this to the police.

Name: duckapoo
Comment: What a liar! I noticed that she didn't try this crap on Jay Leno last night. He would have called her out in a big way. I'm surprized that Tavis didn't.
