Comment: Let the church say amen.......The motivation for this study to be done like it was in the first place had to have been rooted in finding statistical data to prove the growing Bill Cosby esque popular white mentallity of "Blacks need to get it together and who cares about that ancient history of slavery". Between the Bill O'Reillys, Fox news, other media losers, and a wealth of Black academia wannabees that just don't get it, I would venture to estimate that this 71 percent creeped to 80 percent before the damn study was printed. All the while, we are sitting around worried about a war, when our war is in this article, in our communites, and in our families.

Comment: actually, I get awfully tired of folks slinging around what slavery did . . . it's Jim Crow laws and Jim Crow law attitudes that still fvck-up race relations in the US

Comment: HarrisThomas...Jim Crow laws are an outgrowth of slavery. Jim Crow laws were pushed into the legislature by Dixiecrats to legally discriminate against blacks since they couldn't overturn the 13th & 14th Amendments. Jim Crow laws would never have passed if the prevailing attitudes from slavery didn't exist. Slavery truly is the root cause of it all.
