Comment: The best show on tv by a long country mile. I always have my wife get the dvd's for me and I'll be getting season 4 i my stocking this year. Most of the shows on tv today are really crappy and The Wire is a breath of fresh air.

Comment: Cannot wait!..I've been watching the previous seasons on HBO on demand leading me up to the 5th and final season...My daughter and I think that the kid Michael is going to end up killing Marlo; Snoop and Chris will be in jail giving up the info to the feds; and Fine azz Wee Bey will get out of jail so that he and Fine azz Slim Charles can continue the empire..That's out take..LOL

Comment: This was one of the best written shows on TV. Hate to hear that this is the last season. The final ep is gonna leave us die hard fans wanting more.better than the Soprano last season. Fade to Black.

Comment: I've been watching the "Wire" since day one.I've taped every season and now I'm so sad to see it come to an end.I'm sure if enough people wrote to HBO,we could have the show on longer.The Sopranos were on for 8 yrs.So anything is possible,we must let the Cable network know how we feel.Usually when they have a high volume of people who pay for cable,writing to ask that a certain show is extended speaks volumes Right now Showtime is becoming the top channel,it is filled with many diverse shows and touches on subjects that HBO has yet to address.Lets see there is: Dexter, The Brotherhood,The"L Word", The Tudors,although they had a show similar to the "Wire" which starred Ericka Alexander formly of Living Single.It was great, but i tuned very late in the series' 1st season.The Global Warming Project that Al Gore spearheaded which was very informative. Remember when white folks want a show kept/brought back they start a writing campaign or call in's.Remember that Showtime was the one to bring us a Black show with a full black cast"Soul Food" but with a touch of diversity and some very serious subjects that go on in the black community but are never addressed with any type of class.So Ladies and Gents we don't have to give up on the "Wire" just write in to HBO or go on HBO.com Peace and Blessings!

Comment: Awww librason. Dex is the antihero of the program and Sgt. Doaks just keeps getting in the way. I'm rooting for Dex. Doaks is going to die, but I have the strangest feeling that it won't be by Dexter. Lila will be coming into the fray somehow. I can't stand her vampiric azz... -lol- by far though, nothing, but NOTHING compares to the Wire!!!

Comment: I love the Wire. They are selling a box set of season 1-3 on DVD, I will be getting it. It's a shame that The Wire, which is well written with an exceptional cast, doesn't get the credit it deserves. The Sopranos gets all the accolades. Don't get me wrong I love the Sopranos but I love The Wire more and i never has gotten a nomination. What's going on here?

Comment: I love the Wire. BTW if you like the writing, check out George Pelecanos' books. George Pelecanos is one of the writers and producers of the Wire and his books are intense, it's like reading the same the same stories that the Wire portrays. George Pelecanos grew up in the DC/Maryland area, so all of his stories have that setting. It's especially cool for me because I've never been to the area so I can kinda get a visual.

Comment: STELLABABY and EVERYONE****Actually, the fourth season was supposed to have been the last season. Remember, how the last show ended. Let you know what had happened to everyone. Well, apparently the public did write to HBO and the cable companies and at the end of 2006 that's when the said they would do one more season but we had to wait over a year to see it. What I hated the most was well of course Stringer getting killed, but you know Omar was not going to let him live...if it was left up to Omar Stringer would have been dead long time ago.....lol. What I hated was when Michael killed dude (can not think of his name) point blank. Now, that messed me up. I thought he would have stayed around. I wonder if they will bring the greeks back. Whatever they are going to do outside of telling us about the short stories this season is kept hush hush.
