Comment: I love John Sayles' movies. His movies are all character driven, well-acted dramas that authentically present the multi-layered facets of everyday life. It's very rare for a white writer/director to write 'black' characters with such depth. It's no wonder he gets some of our most gifted actors to work on his projects. I'll definitely check this flick out.

Comment: I took the time to see this on Friday night. I was disappointed with the pace of the film. Verrrr rrrrry slow. No I wasn't looking for an action flick but even a drama should have a rhythm to it and I felt it was lost.
I enjoyed the characters in the film and greatly appreciate the talent brought forth. I cannot remember the last time I saw Lisa Gay Hamilton and the new comers were refreshing.
For everyone who says we don't ever get dramas, here's one for ya.
