Besides, black people are not monolithic and I hate it when people like that producer try to lump all of us into one category. There's good and bad and stupid in EVERY race.

Comment: If the supervisor mandate was to "book" intelligent people - that makes perfect sense for the Judge Judy Show. If the supervisor's mandate was "to not book" Black litigants - that's something different. For the sake of the lawsuit, I hope there's written proof, because it sounds like "sour grapes". We all know, just like other races of people, we have multiple classes of Black folks. Some of us can argue respectfully, while others (i.e. Judge Joe Brown's show) appear to become emotional and ignorant. Judge Joe Brown's show relies on the drama of the litigants to garner ratings and remain vital... while Judge Judy's feisty personality "carries" her show.

Folks sometimes you need to lose money to realize how dumb your azz is. Dumb women/men give con artists their money for nuthin but a good screw all the time. That don't make it fair, it just makes you dumb!

Happy New Year to you all and may we experience a reduction in reality shows and black folks clowning on national tv.lol With regard to 'choosing' litigants the ones they should be unwilling to keep showing are those suing for cell phone bills and those suing roommates. That would cut all those shows in half and being as though people just don't get it and keep getting cell phones for people with bad credit and letting them move in I say they get what they deserve.

Al I know is the lady gets the consecutive high ratings and just resigned a $100 million dollar 4 year contract. she will be on TV now until 2012 I heard. She has a total net worth of over $100 mill and makes more money per year than all of yours and mines Supreme Court Justices who sit on the bench as we speak. LOL!

Comment: I'm not surprised by this. I watch Judge Joe Brown not Judge Judy. I used to watch Judy but after Brown came on I stop. They don't even compete at the same time but Judy just didn't interest me anymore. I think we just have an unhappy employee. He got fired March 30 and now he files a complaint. Sounds like someone had an unhappy Christmas. Santa doesn't visit thos who been fired.

Comment: It seems like now what they have done with the different variety of Judge shows is they are basically giving the general public one type of judge each for just about every personality type you can name. They got Judy for those who like it hard, they got that fine sistah with the short hair (Judge Lynn Toler) for all us men to look at and swoon and drool over - heehee! Sike, she smart and on her game too but damn she fine! Lawd Have Mercy! They got the other older sister (Judge Hatchett)who adds her soft loving touch, ya'll know who Im talkin bout! She fine too! LOL! They got Judge Joe Brown for those who like that old school common sense coming from the man's side, they got the cop judge who is now a judge who looks like a superhero type Judge Dredd, they got the Latina judge who adds her light smooth touch, they got the other lady judge who is just ahhittte to me - she pretty strong too. Now they got a judge up there who acts a lil flamboyant and got himself a fine dime peice bailiff with the fly haircuts and the slammin body to assist him! LOL! They got a judge for every audience you can imagine with no end in sight! LOL! Funny thing about it is, you got folks who will watch them Judge shows religiously but you cannot pay them enuf to go to Jury Duty!!!! LOL! Funny!!!!!! Dang shame. Umph!

Comment: Judge Judy is essentially a small-claims court since her awards are capped, so I don't know how many "upscale" people go on that show. I hope the complaint isn't true because I enjoy the Judge Judy show. She lets articulate people of all races in her courtroom, not like the buffoons on Judge Mathis or Judge Joe Brown (I kinda feel like both are akin to Jerry Springer). And if the complaint is false, I agree with DCGG: Stupid ish like this makes it harder for us when we demand justice for REAL racism.

There are two hispanic women Maria Lopez and Cristina. Milian is the hard nosed one that you call pretty strong. I don't care for her show but she's on the money.

I can't believe some of the black people that do attend her show only to berate themselves for the whole world to see them "act tha fool". Comment: LOL at everyone's comments. Its unfortunate that this man brought this, if it did happen, it had nothing to do with the Judge and everything to do with the fools who work behind the scenes. Shyt the majority of small claim court claimants will be your average joes--some lean towards principal and "bigger money" claims upwards of 5k and others are your garden variety chump change fools who come in all shapes, sizes and colors. I don't know why black folk would be singled out on this show or any other, all races got the fool and class knows no racial divide. Judge Judy embarrasses any fool who dares--so whatever.

Comment: I was distracted there for a moment. :) As for the Judge Judy situation, if this is true (and I believe it could absolutely be), I would have to believe that Judge Judy would be in on it. IMO, she would have said something to a producer, who would've taken it upstairs to procure an OK. And it's done. I will say i have a hard time believing any one on here feels this could not be true. Now, to be perfectly honest, I know I make it a point to watch it when I see black folks on these shows BECAUSE I'm POSITIVE IT's GONNA GET LOUD AND DRAMATIC. Not to say there's never been cool, professional-actin' black folks, but.... P.S. There's this white comedian who performs on BET nad other black comedy shows, who did this bit on Cheaters and the difference between a white woman accuser and a sista accuser. The man hit the button hard. Had me dying, too.
