Comment: I'll be buying this dvd - I remember Soledad Brother and there is no better person to play him than Gary Dourdan. This is gonna be a good one. Welcome back to your regular gig though Gary cause a sistah was sure gonna stop watching that show!

Comment: great timing. i recently purchased "soledad brother, letters from prison", "blood in my eye", "revolutionary suicide" and "war against the panthers, a study of repression in america". can you imagine being sentenced to 1 to life for $70. brother george spent 7 years in solitary confinement doing all that they asked in the hopes of getting out but those azzes kept coming up with one lie after another to keep him from getting out. if he had gotten out, whew there is no telling how successful he would have been in recruiting for the party. people if you can pick up these books and study them because the hands of the clock has gone back to those times. i will check out this video and hopefully gary does a good job as brother george just as roger guenveur smith did as huey.

Comment: i will be looking forward to this one also. thinking back on when i first read "soledad brother," i remember thinking how strong we are, and how wrong we have been done. but still we rise! but now it's time to rise even higher because many of the gains we made in the past are slowly being eradicated. remember brown vs. board of education, and what just happened to that decision. and that's not even the beginning.
