Comment: Too bad, but perhaps his chickens are coming home to roost. Ripping off the government was bad enough, but signing his dead brother's royalty checks earned him the "pathological" label. He's been WELL-taken-care-of all these years. He'll survive in prison.

Comment: i agree a little jail time will not put him in no worse condition than he is now, it's the outside freedom that comes with being a singer he will miss most. He could easi;y hired a agency to look into his tax matter, even if the gov't think they were been cheated & believe me, gov't hate competition....should have more classics songs after leaving jail.

Comment: This is a shame. Ron Isley is a gem, but he got caught up in the lifestyle and didn't take care of his business right. Prison must be a rude awakening for him. Perhaps he will appreciate his blessings when/if he gets out.

Comment: I would feel bad for him but for the fact that this wasn't his first time getting caught up with the irs. He didn't learn the first time, didn't learn from Red Foxx, Jermaine Dupree or any of the other myriad stars that have gotten caught. He made no effort to do anything more than live high on the hog and continue chasing babies. Now he has plenty of time to think about it. As for his health - he should have been taking care of that while he was keeping jewelry stores and designers and furriers in business!

Comment: Who doesn't love Mr. Biggs? However, why couldn't he stay an old Mr. Biggs? Why did he have to start wearing jogging suits and tennis shoes on 106 and Park. Just cause the young folks loved him didn' mean that we thought he was one of them. He looked like my granddaddy wearing jogging suits and sunday shoes, with the church socks. He knew he was too old but no one tried to stop him, then he married his great granddaughter, he is a legend but now he is a legend who was wrong as H$%^!

Comment: BigChassie: I heard an interview with Chris Jasper on the radio back in the '90's and when he was asked about reuniting with Ronald Isley and the surviving Isley Brothers, he said that he was taught that if you had nothing good to say about someone, then remain quiet. That was all he would say. I was like "wow!" as I didn't know there was that much friction. He then went on to say that he was recording a gospel album and didn't want to discuss The Isley Brothers anymore. I think he said he was living in New York State, just North of New York City.

Comment: Co-sign to the max!! McNasty and gingerg. As I've been saying for a while now in my posts concerning Ron Isley, the man isn't right. He is NOT a person of honesty, integrity, or decent moral standards. He really isn't. The way he did Angela, his deceased brother, his lying, and cheating are proof of this. And he NEVER voluntarily turned himself in. There are still guilty people who voluntarily turn themselves in. Ron has the values and ARROGANT mindset of a player or pimp. HE BELIEVES HE'S ABOVE THE LAW and is ENTITLED to a free pass BECAUSE he's a celebrity!!! So he can sing!! I grew up listening to the Isley Brothers, too. But, right is right and wrong is wrong. He's been doing wrong for a LONG, LONG time and HIS DIRT FINALLY CAUGHT UP WITH HIM!! One of the posters above remarked about the length of his sentence. Let the record show, that Ron received the MINIMUM sentence. He should feel blessed that God, in his mercy, didn't give him more!! See, that's the thing about him. He ALWAYS thinks he can do wrong and get away with it. Not this time, Ron. I don't feel sorry for the man. I really don't.

Comment: Love, Ron Isley to death, but I.R.S. does not play. The goverment is fed up with celeb. breaking the law. Now, no matter who you are if you break the law, you go to Prison or Jail. It's your choice. I guess his young wife, is sitting home staring at that 23 carrot diamond ring he gave her, on there wedding day, before he was sent to prison. Someone also should have told Ron Isley, that federal prison, do not care about your weakness, they have the best medical providers there is. Maybe he needs to rethink his stragety. Comment: I don't blame the court for rejecting his appeal. Ron Isley missed up too many times in the past and the judge does not trust him. Ron talking about he's too old and sick too go to prison, he wasn't too old to marry that child, plus the fact the money he spent on that wedding, he could have paid the IRS off and cleared his name. Serves him just right, let him stay there.
