Comment: I understand where Turner is coming from, but I hope the law passes and eventually becomes a law in every state. Yes, we know some folks are going to make boneheaded decisions in the pursuit of beauty, but this law is being put in place NOT only to protect people, but to also hold doctor's accountable for the health of their patients -- which should be their primary concern. If the penalties are stiff enough and there is the potential loss of their licenses, which means they can't practice or make any income, this law SHOULD have the effect it intends. If nothing else, this law is a step in the right direction. It's up to the legislature to ensure it is has the appropriate penalties, censures, and remediations for it to be enforced properly.

Comment: This proposed law is nothing more than a politician's attempt to get some publicity. If you think you've been wronged by a doctor, then file a civil court case. Stop letting Big Brother in. Elective cosmetic surgery is a personal choice and like the writer says, "no law on the books can force people to use common sense."
