Comment: I agree wholeheartedly. The mandatory sentencing controversy doesn't affect THOSE WHO DON'T SELL DRUGS! We spend too much time on those who want to be "thugs" and "hustlas" (mainly they're just preying on their own communities while ignoring those who are trying to do things the right way. Going to jail is almost a right of passage for young Black men in some hoods. It's up to us to change this. I heard Henry Louis Gates say recently that there are more Black cardiologists than Black NBA players. We need to redirect our kids away from the legal or illegal lifestyles they see on "Cribs" and "Pimp My Ride" and into activities with real potential.
