Comment: Enough! Either arrest someone or shut up! It's been about 15 years of innuendo and finger pointing that is harmful to the black community. Call in Cold Case or give it a rest.

Comment: It's been 15 years already!? Wow! <> That's a lot to deal with. If they didn't know, that would be one thing. But to have known and maybe even have had a chance to prevent it... If Puff knew then what he knows now, would he have handled it differently?

Comment: Give it a rest with this Biggie/Tupac B.S. This hip hop nonsense was ridiculous when it occurred 15 years ago and nothing's changed. Look, if people don't trust the police to tell their story and convict whoever killed these two guys, why the hell should I care? ... I'll answer the question-I shouldn't. This Biggie/Tupac ish is tired.

Comment: This is nonsense and it's too bad that this is even published.Phillips has written stuff about Tupaca and or Biggy 4 years and so far none of this has proven to be true(he was the one who writing's .And then he states according to this article that this led to Big's death. So Tupac had Big killed, after he was already dead(watch eur change that line).Big and Puffy always said they knew the guy that shot Pac but they had nothing to do with it and even Pac in an article in vibe said that one of the guys who shot him had beef with him,I think it was Henchman, who later his son was allegedly beaten by the guy in G-Unit.Let's say this, if some mob person told you he was coming after someone and you told that someone, where would that leave you.If I was Puf I would sue the times for this nonsense. The Times is just like the NY Post, they are not accurate.Everyday they recant stories.

Comment: Isn't Puffy moving to Los Angelos? I question the L.A. Times' motives by bringing this back into the news after all of this time.(Oh, unless they are trying to stir some more mess up, because Tupac said this along time ago)Hmmmmm.....

Comment: Comment:(Sorry some of what I was writing was omitted because I accidently hit a button, before I was finished or had a chance to proofread) This is nonsense and it's too bad that this is even published anywhere.I try not to write here anymore but this is too agregious(sp)for me not to comment.Shame on EUR for publishing this divide and conquer nonsense or anything with Phillips name tied to it,he's just like that guy with Fox Roger Friedman ,I believe his name is and media fakeout I mean takeout. You can't believe anything they write.Phillips has written stuff about Tupac and or Biggy for years and so far, none of it has proven to be true(he was the one whose writings said that the guy/cop connected to Suge killed Biggie and that was never proven in LA Court)So now this guy, years after the fact, is trying to ruin Puf's life(who I am not a fan of)and ruin Big's rep.Pac himself knew he was doing some foul stuff around the time he got shot and he was doing mad speculating on who did it.Get the vibe article and read it for yourself if you can.I remember reading it back then and asking myself and my radio listeners on-air why is he saying this stuff ahout Big(Pac that is) while he himself is questioning his own theory .And then he(Phillips and or EUR) states according to this article that this led to Big's death. So Tupac had Big killed, after he was already dead(watch EUR change that line),when Pac was killed for beating that LA gang banger down in Vegas at the Tyson fight. Suge convinced Pac that Big/Puf/Andre Harrell had something to do with the shooting in NY when he bailed Pac out(which was really in retropsect Pac's biggest mistake, hooking up with Suge),but remember Suge sold records thru Beefs, first with EZ E,then Luke, then Bad Boy, that was how Suge sold records by creating beefs.Big and Puffy always said they knew the guy that shot Pac but they had nothing to do with it and even Pac in that article in vibe said that one of the guys who shot him, had beef with him,I think it was Henchman, who ironically(SP) years later, his son was allegedly beaten by the guy in G-Unit.Let's say this, if some mob person told you he was coming after someone(to beat them down, not shoot them and that is important, not to shoot but beat them down) and you told that someone, where would that leave you?If I was Puf I would sue the Times for this nonsense. The LA Times is just like the NY Post, they are not accurate.Everyday they recant stories.

Comment: Phillips also says the Shakur case has ties to the murder of Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell. One of the men present when Shakur was shot, Randy "Stretch" Walker, was later gunned down in Queens, New York on November 30, 1995, exactly one day to the date of the Quad Recordings shooting.
Come on now isnt that the stupidest thing he could have written.Because they were killed at the same place, years after the fact,Phillips said there is a connection, what is that connection, they were killed at the same spot.I need more than that. This article plays on one's intelligence, the little that I have lol.

Comment: This is old news, and does not bring any of them back to Earth (Tupac, Biggie, Jay). So what is the point of even talking about it? Also, why didn't this dude get a reaction from Suge? Anyway, it seems when Black people who try to be gangsters get involved with guys in Italian organized crime, the crime gets unorganized.

Comment: Interesting story. The timing is interesting too. Just last night I heard a radio interview of an ex-mob guy known as Tony Nastasi AKA Tony The Butcher who was discussing a totally different topic - The Spitzer case and the mob's tie to sex escort services over the years, etc. and when you look up the article you see there is also a Puff Daddy connection to the mob but it surrounds the 1999 incident at the NY Club with JLo that happened almost accidently. Check out the full article here: http://www.klas-tv.com/Global/story.asp?S=7930160. Here is an excerpt: "You might recall the story about the two celebs leaving a New York nightclub where a shooting had occurred. Someone in their limo tossed a gun out the car window. It landed on the hood of one of Nastasi's vehicles and his driver turned it in. Nastasi declined to pin the gun on Combs, so he says, prosecutors came after him. "The next thing you know, they know everything about me, and I have to produce this driver with the gun and the whole bit. And the next thing I know, we're in the courtroom, where I didn't want to be, alright? And they really wanted to go after this guy, this Puffy Combs. The DA had me in his office, telling me, "Well, can you tell this driver that maybe he did see this guy throw the gun out the window, or a guy like him?"" said Nastasi. The driver later hinted that he thought Jennifer Lopez tossed the gun, but for Tony, the damage was done."

Comment: nylaconnect > Defamation?? Riiiiiggght! Have you met Puffy, if not you know his record, so the likelyhood of him suing and winning anything against LA Times would be a mute point. He wouldn't have a chance in hell. Some of this stuff Puff & Suge brought on themselves, just plain stupid.

Comment: I have always believed that it is the record companies behind all of this mayhem. It is they who will profit. It is the African American community that will suffer loss of life and loss of unity. WHEN WILL WE WAKE UP??? Please realize that we are being played. We become puppets in our own lives with you-know-who- pulling the strings. This mess is designed to start all this East/West death all over again. DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID!!!

Comment: Tell us something we don't already know. We knew Puffy & BIG knew about 'Pac's attack. 'Pac knew, too. As for a defamation suit, well, there IS proof that the mobster was part of the Bad Boy entourage during the tour, so it's not like Diddy can say he never met him. Crimes get solved when people WANT them solved. We all know who shot 'Pac, and we have an idea of who did Biggie. We know Bill & Hillary Clinton left a trail of dead bodies in their wake, and we know Bush and Cheney broke several laws in the last 5-7 years. Hell, who really killed the Kennedys? The problem is that nobody wants to know the truth. At least in the Tupac/Biggie case, Chuck Phillips has not given up on finding the truth. Let the man keep on writing until the whole truth comes to light. I just hope it happens in my lifetime.

Comment: Understand what you need to prove to sue for defamation of character. Generally, to make a successful defamation of character claim, you must show that there was a false statement of fact, this statement was conveyed to a third party and the statement is understood to be about you and tending to harm your reputation. In the case of a public figure, actual malice must also be proved.

Comment: MomaKnowz > The ONLY group that is keeping up this ruckus is US. We are the one's trying to live like gangsters, flaunting wealth, glorifying drug dealers etc. The last few years most if not all of the rappers are drug dealers or were. Most of the songs that are out now are regarding/glorifying strippers. Give me a break, NO ONE is out to get us, WE are self-destructive, sad but true. I love when Puff told Biggie that selling drugs is short money and will land him in jail.

Comment: I would think that Puff may have a better chance of saying that this guy is "giving a inflamatory statement, which may cause bodily harm, considering Tupac is a beloved figure in the Hip Hop community. Such a statement could be death to him by over zealous fans or gang members that befriended Tupac when he was a young adult".
