Comment: ark/letmein/asize - have y'all had a lot of rain/flooding? my little sister called me at almost 6 o'clock this morning (her time) and said that they didnt have school. i didn't think that it had snowed. she said because of the rain and a lot of places were flooded. i used to live in cape girardeau (asize you know that place? it's down I-55) and it is flooded, too. one of my sisters goes to school there and they didn't have class. it was weird seeing some of those really small towns in the national news. everyone at home is okay, though so i'm good.

I can deal with the affair but the problem that i have is the fact that he retaliated again the police capt in the whistleblower law suit- When that happens and its proven that a person went after the person ( he tried to demote/fire him) then you will get caught. Kwame was urged to settle quietly but he fought it and lost. when his term is over he needs to relocate and hope his wife does not rake him over the coles- well heck if she does he did it to himself. Arrogance has bought alot our leaders and men in general down. There is nothing wrong with being humble.

Comment: Although I didn't get lucky with internet dating I don't think it's any different or more risky than meeting people in person. When you meet someone in person you don't know if they are lying about something or are bipolar, either. You have to take your time, pray and pay attention to details, whether it's in person or online. Most people's mistake is moving too fast into a relationship, whether via the internet or face-to-face. Three of my friends met their current boyfriends online, one couple has been together almost 3 years, one for 2 years, and the other for 1 year. One of my Sorors got married back in October, they met on blackpeoplemeet.com. My doctor also met her husband online.

I actually kind of like getting to know a person on the phone and net before actually meeting. You get more information out of them before hand, and everything is not about the physical appearance.

Comment: hey y'all. i just got off the phone with my mother. She was telling me that my uncle was going to work last night and almost got swept away. THANK YOU GOD that he is okay. Anyway, his car was being swept away, but he somehow managed to get out. The water was up to his chest. There was a truck coming up behind him and they helped him. My aunt and cousin are in the STL so they can't even get home. They had to open up the flood gates in our town. The whole town is flooding. My brother's job is pretty far out. A lot of their vehicles were flooded. The supervisor told them about an alternate route, but there was a big truck coming so they couldn't get out. Well, the truck driver didn't know there was ditch/bridge (can't remember) and he ran in the ditch/off the bridge (whatever). Mommy said it is still raining, too. I think she said it is 'supposed' to stop soon. Thank goodness they live on a hill.

Kirstie Alley's legendary bikini-wearing appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show won't be the last we'll see of their collaboration. The former Cheers star and Jenny Craig spokeswoman has been signed to Harpo Productions — Oprah's production company — in a TV development deal which could include a syndicated daily talk show.
"I'm very open with what I've been through in my own personal life, and nothing — I mean nothing — is off-limits for me to talk about. Nothing shocks me. I'm a great listener. I'm a good comedian. And I won't lie — I live a beautiful life. So I hope to bring those elements together to offer something totally fresh for the television audience," said Alley.
Tim Bennet, president of Harpo Productions, is a fan of Alley's breezy outlook. "Kirstie is a tremendous talent who is incredibly relatable and a true fan favorite, and we are thrilled to welcome her to Harpo. Audiences love her and it's easy to see why: She is always at ease. We are looking forward to working together to bring viewers everywhere her distinctive voice and comedic flair."
