Comment: Nice message to send that you can raise a violent, racist punk who makes death threats and actually shows up on someone's doorstep with a gang to carry them out... and yet self-defense is not an option. Cicciaro's parents should be angry... with themselves. Their son's death is a result of their failures as parents. Guess they never expected that someone might take their little thug's threats seriously and take action. It kills me that these modern parents raise %*$! poor examples of human life, refuse to correct their wrong behaviors, and blame everyone else when something goes wrong. But then, I'm sure this boy's equally racist parents didn't see anything wrong with their son and his friends going to beat a black teen to death for allegedly threatening a white girl (false threat).

Comment: It did not specify why the teens were at/ on the way to the house. Some beef? The guy should have called the police THEN gotten his gun out for protection. He was wrong there. If they had broken into this house and he shot them it is justified.

Bigfriend read the post above yours, that is the same story that's in the news. The white boy and his carload of friends went to this mans house and I believe that it was quite late when they did. He stopped them before they could get close enough to bumrush his door. He did what naturally would come next for most thinking people protecting what is theirs.

Comment: This should be a lesson to all colors....you can't just go onto people's property with a threat and think nothing will happen...either from your side or from the other side. It's sad that the father have to go through this, he should also teach his son, because he probably did or said something to make them do what they did about coming to his home...I think if the kid came alone, nothing like this would have happened. It makes you think back in the 40s and 50 and 60s when whites use to kill blacks, just because. We have to make a turn off of this road onto a better one named PEACE.....

Comment: PRDC - Actually a news report yesterday said that someone placed a bogus posting on a website that the black kid said he was going to rape some white girl that was friends with the guy killed. Someone called the black kid to alert him that he heard some guys were planning to come to his house to confront him.

Comment: I've been following this story since it broke..these were racist pigs and as someone stated they were coming to his house because of that bogus e-mail. He was at this party when they came and threatened him; he left and they followed. The article fails to state that they were calling this young man and his parents the "n" word and he was telling them to leave his property and they challenged him with what you gonna do "n" word and he showed them. In my opinion he shouldn't have gotten as he was protecting his family..

I thought that in the Constitution we had the right to bear arms? I know that if anyone set foot on my property with intent to do harm, I would definitely make it clear that they would never do that shyt again to anyone else - not talking killing but you would be leaving with a severe limp or worse.

Comment: Sometimes people react to the situation at hand before thinking to actually pick up the phone and since the popo take their time going to any black neighborhood there's a good chance that these racist fools would have done a lot of damage before they would have even gotten there. That wrong doesn't make it right. He should've been jailed for the whole 15 years. Comment: McNasty - They lived in a predominately white community on Long Island, so the police probably would've been there before he hung up the phone.....plus, the kids weren't even at the house yet when his son told him. He stated that they were headed to his house. My only point is that a father has to go to prison when it didn't have to end like this. It's too late for him. I just hope others learn from his misfortune. And it could've easily turned out that him and his son ended up dead, so he's lucky too that none of those bonehead kids had guns and started shooting back.

What was BS was his testifying that he grew up in Brooklyn hearing stories about how the Ku Klux Klan torched his grandfather's business in Alabama in the 1920s and that he feared a similar attack was about to happen. How in the hell are you going to compare current day Long Island to Alabama almost 100 years ago?! That's just crazy.

The racial tension in Long Island has been brewing since the 2 incidents of White teens chasing and beating those Black teens. Andrea Peyser and the racist editors at NY Post excused these racist teens behaviour on teen pranks even though one young man was hospitalized because he was beaten so bad. One teens mother was adamant in him not serving time although he bashed this young man's head in with a bat and NY Post and it's editors all agreed. In this instance even Andrea Peyser admits this Black man doesn't deserve jail time and she's as racist as they come so trust their is alot we're not hearing!!

And just what do you think this carload full of racist thugs shouting %*$!(@ and refusing to leave planed to do? Talk to them? They came to drag this kid out of his home and beat him... likely to death. And the catalyst was a white girl. Sounds like the same old racist tune of the South to me. Mr. White didn't just go out for kicks. He knew there was a real threat. He was defending his son and his family against a gang. He shouldn't even have to serve one day, let alone, 15 years. Especially since not one of those teens who showed up to cause physical harm based on race was charged with a single thing. Not even so much as the adult responsible for minors consuming alcohol the night of the party or the person who posted the rape lie was charged.

Yet when confronted with the fact that their son was intending to attack another teen, they made all kinds of excuses for why that was ok (so'n'so was Dano's friend, he was protecting her, blah blah blah). Not once have they been able to answer why their son and his friend didn't just call the police if they flet she was in danger. And that's because they are racists too. They saw nothing wrong with their son attacking a black kid. And that lousy excuse for Daniel's father has the never to be on the news complaining about the sentencing sending the message that blacks can defend themselves against would-be lynch mobs. How dare a black man not just sit there and take whatever punishemt a white man (or teen)feels he needs for being falsely associated with a white woman.

Comment: Also, Mr White did not up and shoot this kid...the kid lunged at him and the gun went off. These kids were trespassing and they got what they did for trespassing. With the racial tention in LI, the cops would have done nothing to quell the situation. I can understand his logic in protecting his family. The time that he is doing is more about the gun charge than the killing. Ironic that Mr. Obama just made a brilliant speech on race. It is going to be a long hard road!

Comment: The jury's verdict was appropriate. Apparently, the jury did not believe Mr. White intended on harming the unruly mob at all and could SEE his obvious remorse. Even though no one came right out and said it, the jury took into account the fact that those little skinheads started things by drunkenly running to someone's home in the middle of the night, disturbing the peace. The jury was more concerned about Mr. White's possession of an illegal handgun than anything else. Had Mr. White been elsewhere when this happened, he probably would have received 15 years.

Comment: IF you want to make the mistake of believeing that racism only happens in the south 100 years ago, then don't be surprised when the law enforcement of the "liberal north" turns a blind eye while white thugs beat your %*$ to death.
