Fanteeking Vernon Jordan went to work for a DC law firm Akin, Gump, et al and for the whole time he was there was rarely seen coming or going (I worked on the 2nd floor of the same building). I don't know what happened to the law firm and yeah, vernon disappeared too! But now their true colors are coming to light - for example Bill’s comments in Charlotte last week about "instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics". Now the media is focusing on his statement about loving this country, I want to know what other stuff. Personnally I think it is just code word for race. Black people have for too long looked at the Clinton years through rose colored glass. If we were to be honest, the Clinton years were not as great for Black Folks as we tell our selves. And the Wright thing continues to deflate as non-Black folk begin to understand that preachers, particularly preachers who lived during the Jim Crow era, will occassionally rant. Friday I watched Obama talking to a small group of veterans and later, at Gov. Richardson's endorsement. In both places he stopped just short of a chicken in every pot and a benz in every garage. It's going to be interesting to say the least, to see what's said after he's been prez for a year and the reality of all his "exaggerated" promises sets in and you all start to see he's as much a YT as he is a Black man, but mostly...that he's a MAN,a human,warts and all.

Comment: To those Obama supporters who were so angered by my expressing my opinion that you couldn't respond without getting nasty, you prove my point about being naive about politics. I did not even say that I supported Hilary, Obama or who, but because I failed to sufficiently glorify his perfect name Ibecame a devil worshipper. So, let me clearly say for the record that I will vote for the Democratic candidate because the important fi8ght is supposed to be against McCain/republican candidate. Pardon me but the idea of that old crotchedy YT is a helluva lot worse than either dem. But before Oprah first mentioned Obama as a possible on Larry King,the majority of his followers either still thought of Bill Clinton as greatand Hilary the future first woman pres., orhad never cared to vote. And to fail to see the way sexism has successfully crushed the idea that a woman could lead this country is naive as well. Also, if you had really read my comment nowhere did I say ALL Obama supporters feel the same, just as I would have hoped that all Hilary supporters could be seen as individuals entitled to their opinions. And while I'm glad for those who realize his human limitations now I say GREAT! Please take a moment one afternoon and call the Michael Baisden radio show and tell the ones that have said that he is MLK, our Messiah and/or Moses. I didn't make that up, I have heard them said by callers. And eventhough his show is, like EUR, Obama territory,which is ok by me,it does bother me to hear folk take it too far if for no other reason than many are young, first timers and they are going to be disallusioned and I'd hate for them to walk back away from politics.

Comment: For all you Clinton supporters. If your dentist, doctor, or lawyer were not available would you let their spouse operate on you or handle your case? If your answer is no, then why would you even consider Hillary. Being married to a president does not qualify you for the job. If she wasn't married to Bill, would you even know who she was? If she wasn't married to Bill do you think she would be a senator? Her claim to fame is being married to bill. Ladies I know it's kind of empowering to think that you could have a woman in the white house, but she is not the one, there are many more qualified women. Just because a yt woman says girlfriend, doesn't mean she considers you her equal. We all know if it doesn't work out she can always go back to being a yt woman, you don't have that option. Comment: This is unreal. I have always been a Hillary supporter...even when Obama first announced his candidacy. Then I started listening to her. She is very devisive. And she does not have as much legislative experience as Obama, but that doesn't seem to be brought out much nowadays. Just cause you're married to someone, doesn't make you qualified to do what they do. That is what I feel Hilary is basing her quals on. I am a committed Democrat who does not want another Republican president. But, I bristle at the thought of Hilary, because I live in Ohio, and I believe she has had a direct hand in what has happened in our state. NAFTA. The War. The young black men dying. I believe Hilary wants to be the first woman president for the sake of claiming that title. Nothing more. I'm sadden by what is going on in the democratic party, and am rethinking somethings. Then to muck it all up, Ralph Nader is going to run, and he'll undermine the democratic vote also. This is a sad state of affairs.

Comment: Mcctusk, thank you for acknowledging the fact that the HRC name calling on this site gets out of hand. But as far as EUR's headline slants in favor of Obama, I stand by that wholeheartedly. True, this is an Infotainment site, but correct journalism practices is still their responsibility or else they might as well be the Enquirer and get no respect as a reputable source of information. I also don't think the mainstream media dogs Obama. That's why "most" media outlets have political analysts from both teams so they can have a balance (or try to at least). They did blow the whole Rev. Wright thing out of proportion, but that's what the media does, mainly because they are in business to get ratings and fuel excitement and controversy. Doesn't make it right, but that's what they do. I just think that because Obama is such a warm natured person, people feel like he shouldn't have darts thrown at him, but that's not realistic. If he is to become the next president, you guys don't feel like God is surely preparing him for what is yet to come his way????

If you get right down to it, EUR regularly posts stories that are dated and recycled. This is a place where for the most part, head nodding goes on (meaning we generally agree about alot of issues). There are conservative blogspots that I visit when I really want to grind out issues. But as far as this site is concerned, it's almost like a cyber family, and yes it is pro- Obama. So what? Trust me, there is no shortage of sites that bash Obama. It is getting to be that way so much so that thery are no longer focussed on HRC
