Comment: I'm glad Whit stoop to his level and dog him out. I love Whit, but I do think that people often mistakenly blame BB for her actions and her problems. She is a grown woman and chose to do the things she did. Everyone was so surprised because her actions didn't match her image. An image created for her by Clive Davis. Whitney was not all she was made out to be. I can't say whether BB is telling the truth or not. I don't know, but I do believe that he has to make sensational claims in order for his book to have any chance of being popular. He doesn't have any money so he gotta try to make a living somehow. He and 'The Voice' were always unequally matched. But, you can't help who you fall in love with. Oh yeah, can't wait for Whit's comeback!

Comment: I believe him...a very good friend was the producer of Being Bobby Brown and orginally Whitney was supposed to have nothing to do with that reality show. She kept showing up, in the same clothes, and creally creating a scene. That series might have saved her life because her physical appearance and actions were documented. And I do remember when Whitney did the date thing...first it was Randall Cunningham, Eddie, etc. but I guess none of that beats ghetto love. Given that Whitney took care of bobby, his children and his baby mama's...was all this really necessary.

For him to write such a book about somebody he damn well loved and who is the mother of his child makes Bobby Brown an idiot. I wouldn’t buy the book because I feel that both he and Whitney are washed up. Heck, she’s probably mad because she couldn’t release a book first.

Comment: I am definitely going to read this book. I don't know who drugged whom, but it's common knowledge who was "zoomin'" whom. Whitney Houston was with this Robin Crawford just before she became a big sensation. My ex-husband was a tailor in Los Angeles at the time. He told me the two of them would come into his shop all hugged-up and lovey-dovey, slobbering all over each other. At the time, Whitney Houston even had problems with her landlord installing cameras in her apartment to watch all the girly action. It was right after this period that Whitney Houston became a household name. As far as what Bobbi Kristina may be hearing about Bobby Brown's not-so-revealing revelations, I'm sure this child has heard and seen a hell of a lot more than what's in that book. I have to co-sign with professor285 about the two of them being washed-up. The only difference is that Whitney Houston seems to have invested her money more wisely than Bobby invested his. She can STILL live the high life.

It's sad that Bobby doesn't have any respect for his child Bobbi Kristina, he doesn't mind dissing the momma of his child to get a buck- what a pathetic excuse for a man. Yeah, Whitney got caught up but girlfriend will reign again- Clive Davis hasn't given up on her - he knows talent when he sees it. Hell, New Edition don't even want to have Bobby Brown on tour; they had enough of his azz and so many other people. Keep talking Bobby so everyone can keep seeing how ignorant you really are (your daughter at least).

Comment: there is always a KERNEL of truth... Suffice it to say that bobby's allegations about Robyn has the whole ear of corn in it. Robyn and Whitney were BIG!!!!! Whitney used to dedicate her concerts to her. When she really started blowing up, she had to quell rumors. Right b4 Body Guard, her publicist made sure she was linked to everybody but gary coleman.... She even went on Arsenio Hall with the famous line -- "First I'm gay, then I'm a hoe, the press can't make up there minds".... It was all a hoax!!! After this, the rumors quelled down, and then they came back again. this time she was in LOVE w/ Bobby. She is GHETTO, it's not just the coke/crack. Bobby got kicked out of new edition for too much drugs. They both sniffed their way to coke by themselves!!!! HE KNEW what he was getting into!!!

Comment: It's amazing to hear all this co-signing of Whitney! True, I was amazed to hear she married him, too. But, hell, he was doing OK when they got together, so it wasn't COMPLETELY one-sided. Whitney just appealed to the "mainstream" (read: White people), so she was expected to marry better (read: a White man--or Michael Jackson). I've seen guys change for a woman, but I've NEVER seen a woman change her basic nature for a man. So, while I think it's crusty of him to write this book, I don't think he's necessarily LYING...PEACE.

Comment: After seeing "Being Bobby Brown" I believe it gave everyone a new perspective of Whitney Houston. Whitney definitely has her demons but I would never refer to her as being washed out! Whitney and Marvin Gaye delivered one of the most acclaimed performances of the "Star Stangled Banner" to date and the movie "The Bodyguard" broke all kinds of records. The girl has had a HELLUVA music career and her songs are still song in every talent show, pageant, all over this world. I really hope that Whitney has a great comeback album and I wish Bobby Brown the best. Unfortunately, the one that will be affected the most is Bobbi Kristina.

As for him bringing her down or her bringing him up, bull! They both had successful careers in their respective arenas, they both had their demons and habits, they just blended it all together. I haven't read anything so far that sounds like he's bashing her. He's telling his life story and Whitney is a part of that. The book isn't titled "Let Me Tell Yall Bout Whitney" As for Whit and her "class", I think the crack just allowed more of her true nature to show through the facade built up by clever packaging. Comment: I must say, I have heard rumors about Whitney long before she married Bobby. I already know she was a cigarette and weed smoker prior to being married. I also know that her image was carefully crafted by Clive Davis. . . AND By the time I saw Being Bobby Brown (as we all did), I was convinced that she was a hawt mess. Comment: If it's one thing I know for sure it's that Bobby was doing the white powder loooooooooong before he hooked up with Whit and I think it was their respective interest in the drug that attracted them and kept them together (aside from the we'll stay together to spite all the naysayers). Comment: I have to chime in an address the comments made by mas90 about Whitney being a "white" artist. I disagree and know that not to be true. All you have to do is review the Billboard Magazine. From the first album, every single that charted on the Hot 100 also charted on Top R&B Singles (the R&B singles chart back then was called Top Black Singles) As a matter of fact she had 3 songs to go to #1 on the pop charts and 4 to go to number one on the R&B chart. The same for the second album. It generated as many top 10 Pop singles as it did R&B. So clearly she had a black fan base as well.

I still route for Bobby in spite of all of his screw ups, and I always thought that Whitney stopped Bobby from touring and recording when they got together because she didn't want him on the road and have access to all of those groupies. At the time she had enough money for them to chill enjoy their money and their drugs. Bobby seems like the weak one so Whitney could have easily influences him instead of the other way around. Come on does Whitney even seem weak at all? As some posters pointed out Whitney's whole image was manufactured to appeal to a white audience, it just so happened that we liked her too. Many keep implying that Whitney was some wholesome chick until wicked Bobby came along but Whitney was always hood, If you noticed in the early years she rarely talked or gave interviews just looked pretty. I remember the stories about she and her brothers jumping on some dude in a hotel that did something to her, also I remember her sucking on a Heineken and smoking Newports during an interview on MTV around the time the Bodyguard came out, she was complaining that they should have had black cinematographers (sp?) because the white ones couldn't give her proper lighting in the movie, look like she was about to whoop azz. I remember thinking, hmmm with all the pretty styled haird, jewelry and gowns I always saw her in I didn't expect this rowdy (but cool, she had valid points) feisty chick with a beer and cigarettes. At the very least they fed off each other.
