Comment: Okay, I understand where you are coming from in this article. Whether you agree or not, Wrights words were opinions not truth. People like to say he was telling the "truth" but how can it be the truth with no proof? He can think what he wants, and I can even sort of agree about American maybe bringing on 9/11 to itself. I think people when they saw his comments just disliked the hate in his words and that it seems more to incite the blacks in his church that bing them up. I do not agree about the "white America" owes an apology. My opinion here, I say people can express regret for slavery and such but cannot apologise and should not be held accountable for something they personally did not do. And if you keep trying to hold the people alive today for something that happened in the past you (blacks) personally will never move forward. Just will keep the blame game going. it will just be a big circle.

Comment: There comes a time when a reply to an "ignant" observation and post isn't worth the time of day. For any breathing, thinking, CEREBRAL African-American who is vertical, this story rings as loudly as the Big Ben chimes in London. ALL and let me reiterate, ALL of Reverend Wright's declarations were right on the money and if some yt folks have trouble with dealing with the TRUTH then that's their problem. 99.9% of TRUE African-Americans agree with Reverend Wright. The remaining .9% are either space aliens are yt folks masquerading as African-Americans!!!

Well it looks like to me that they are holding us responsbile for being black in America. It's either you are white and married to a white person to come out of your mouth like that. I know they are not going to apoloize for what they did to any of us...but God will prevail in the end. We as blacks have got to get it together like we were back in the 40s-70s. After that things really begin to change in the wrong direction. We as a people can really shut down America with our money. But some of us are so into buying material things instead pulling up the ones that really need us. And thinking they have arrive because they are wearing the most expensive fashions or what have you...its a joke, because you are giving your money right back to them ad I know they think we are fools, which we are. How many black designers or out there today...you can name them on one hand. I create my own fasions and make my own clothes, do my hair, nail and toes..it only takes patience. Hopefully in the future all of that will start to change. The media have been on this pastor for months and for what...they have nothing else to complain about when it comes to Obama. If they open the play fields in everything, we will be on top, for the simple reason our ancestors built this country and never really got awarded for it. Read your history with an open mind. I find that people that are into interracial whatever, always want to not see the real picture...but mess up and you will see...Now I hear they are trying to say Oprah rating are going down...oh well, when you surround and be control by people, they will pull a string and you will drop to the bottom. Just keep your eyes open. I haveno problem with who and what a person date, but don't pull covers over your eyes for that reason.

Comment: I forgot the LAPD officer who came to Congresswoman Maxine Waters (after he retired) and specifically told her that members of the infamous Rampart Division actively supplied inner LA with drugs. Of couse, that was qiuickly dismissed and swept under the rug. On conspiracies, will someone please tell me what happened to the "invisible" plane that crashed into the Pentagon?? All I've ever seen was a big hole blown open in the building, but no plane. All of the footage I've seen never shows a wing, the tail, nothing!! I guess the plane just dissolved!! Anyway, big ups to the Rev and anyone else that speaks truth to power!!

Comment: First of all, I find it very sad, stupid, and ignorant for pseudo-intellectual idiots like fanteeking to call bifriend a "white troll" or "Uncle Tom." Why? Because she/he has a different point of view? If anybody's the sellout or "Uncle Tom," it's people like fanteeking. You say blacks should stick together, and I agree. But you make ridiculous and ignorant comments like that which does nothing but separate blacks from sticking together. As for this article, what's an apology going to do? If they're going to apologize, it will be empty and meaningless. And I still don't get why today's white Americans should apologize for something they never did and were not alive to do. It's almost like asking Al Sharpton to apologize for the Tawana Brawley case. I say blacks should just forget about white people and focus on improving the conditions of black Americans. Don't wait for handouts or help from the government. They won't help. Blacks should just help themselves. To hell with what others think.

While I understand Robert's position, and can agree with several points, he needs to realize that Barrack Obama is trying to get elected to be President of the United States. If he does not distance himself from Wright's comments, that will NEVER happen. (Like it will anyway, but that's another discussion...) Obama is doing what he has to do, saying what he has to say, to get elected. Rev. Wright understands that, and he even told Obama at the beginning of his campaign that he will need to distance himself. We all know the deal. Obama has to play by "the rules" in order to get in a position to make sonme rules.

And no it isn't because he has a different opinion, I've come to site enough and seen enough of his comments to see that he goes out of his way to make black people feel foolish for the way that they feel, for example the comments about D.C.'s gentrifaction and his comment was alluding to the fact that blacks aced themselves out being able to afford their former neighborhoods because they chose not to get educated and chose poor jobs so they would not get the money,it wasn't his fault that they were taking over (I'm like we/they? perhaps = WHITE) Closet Nerd, I agree with you regarding Taylor's comments, most of us know Rev. Wright's comments were valid, and we know that Obama unfortunately can not have even a hint of perception that he is in agreement---nature of the beast.

Comment: Blackdragon, I azzume you know the meaning of most, consequently you not agreeing or other people not agreeing doesn't mean it was not most, again, as I said the comments that big friend makes OFTEN give that impression. Another thing I am really tired of the blacks are not monolithic comment, jeez get another word, I know that, I've known that all my life and UH DUH if anyone was that thick not to know in their regular life and didn't know that without somebody pointing that every dang time someone has/posts a diverse opinion, anyone reading these posts would know that. Also I'm glad Big Friend has a friend in you. BTW I am certainly intelligent enough not to base my thoughts about Big Friend on one comment.
