Comment: Kanye exudes arrogance yet I have heard from friends on the west coast that this tour is the show to see. I understand now why he started in Europe...it is very much a one man art show, very euro oriented but also features the very talented Esthero (LA based Canadian artist who's phenominal). From what I understand Kanye takes the hip hop "show" to a whole notha level and while Mary & Jay have not sold out their NY run, you can't find a Kanye ticket anywhere!!!

Comment: Seeing his show here in Dallas...yeah, his show is off the hook and got great reviews here. It is very artistic and 'different' for a rap/pop artist. Maybe the reviewer to see a more typical, mainstream show by a hip-hop- artist. This ain't your usual show but it is a show...maybe it shoulda been an A+ but like one of you said....it ones opinion.

Comment: agree, nightshift, frequently, no matter the age, people become more mature with the passing of their mother . . . . . Kanye's praise expectations are rooted in his sense of entitlement that is acceptable only as long as his product is selling: when he stops being marketable, he and his sense of prasie worthy entitlement will be left alone

Comment: >Luke - I think you're right...LOL...I like his music. I think he his music is very clever but the more he acts the fool, the harder it is for me to want to listen to his music. Why did his parents raise him to be such a lil azzhole? While she was alive, she should've checked his lil punk azz. I know I would've snatched him bald-headed has my child acted like he acts as a grown-azzed man. I'm not picking on the deceased. I'm really not, but I find it difficult to understand why she didn't call him on his foolishness. If she did, my bad but really. He's an embarrassment to any mother - he has no home-training at all - no humility, no etiquette, no sense of what's appropriate and what's not. I've seen severely mentally disabled children act better than him. Yeah, he makes good music and by show business standards, he's a raging success but if I were his mother I'd be embarrassed that my child was acting like he does. I really would.

Comment: After Donda's passing, I thought Kanye would pipe down a bit but it looks like he has developed a serious psychological ego problem. If he does not simmmer down soon, he may very well loose the rest of his mental faculties. Dude has serious, serious, issues and should take some time off to reflect on his future. Oh, the trying times of today's"celebrities"!All that glitters is not gold.Sad!

Comment: What's so bad about a B+? They probably reserve As for shows that simply, positively cannot be missed. I'm sure the mag doesn't give many As. He should be honored by the B+ and keep it moving. Not everybody loves everything you do. It's a fact of life.

Comment: >musb - Wow. Dang. Wazup w/all the vitriol? Did I cut you off in traffic or something? I say what I want on here as does everyone else. And I still say that his behavior shrieks of poor home training. Treating people the way he does - running up on stage w/o being in the show at awards shows, throwing temper tantrums because he didn't get an award, cursing out a critic, throwing yet another tantrum at a concert = bad, ridiculous, infantile behavior. And as I said, if my son, when I have one, ever acted like this, I'd slap the taste out of his mouth no matter how old he was. I know my parents would be in my azz like a bike w/the seat off if I ever acted like this NOW and I'm a grown-azzed woman. So, as I said, I like his music but his behavior is absolutely off the hook ridiculous. And if you keep beefin' w/me, I'm gonna cut you off in traffic again!

Comment: Vitriol? I didn't think I exhibited any. I was merely commenting on the fact that you are being extremely judgmental. You are ascribing bad parenting skills to his mom as if there was a deficiency there on her part. It is the same sort of judgment that we pa.ss on any black person w/o knowing anything about their upbringing. I'm sure we ALL know of families where a child is the bad seed. That badness can not always be attributed to bad parents. Kanye seems that way to me as if seemed to love his mom and has a general respect for others. Outside of his music, I haven't heard much negative stuff about him. No degrading women, never been in jail, not ripping off artists, perpetuating violence, hooked on drugs, selling drugs, etc. IMO, that sounds like a son of someone who did a pretty good job raising them...especially by today's standards.

Comment: >musb - there is more criteria to raising a successful child than being crime/drug free. When being obnoxious is positively reinforced there is no reason to not be that way. What that says is that he has been allowed throughout his life to be a lil jerk and he still gets his way. Just like R has been allowed to bang little girls w/no consequences, West has been allowed to be rude and treat people poorly with no real consequences. The type of behavior he is displaying on a regular basis didn't start when he hit 21 or whatever age he left home for good. It takes time and conditioning to be that obnoxious. A person doesn't just wake up one day and say, "I've been polite and pleasant to people all my life but from now on, I'm gonna be a total azzhole!" - Nah. Doesn't happen. Even people who others say "have changed with stardom" - the negative behavior was always there. It's just more exaggerated and on display when a person gets famous. And, that person now has more “permission” to be a total jerk than when they had no power. When you have to be polite out of necessity, a person will do that and bide his/her time until he/she can show out. There are people with way more power/money/fame/talent than West who are lovely people who treat others around them very well = good home training. So, if I want to say he has poor home training I'm gonna say that. And calling me judgmental as you did does sound like attitude/anger but that's just me. People always say being "judgmental" is this horrible thing. We make judgments all the time in our lives. The concept of “being judgmental” only comes into question when someone doesn't like the opinion/judgment. If I said "he's a fantastic guy, great musician and all around wonderful son, humanitarian, genius and saint" which is also a judgment, you'd have no problem with that. "Judgmental" is only a dirty word when someone doesn't agree with the opinion. It is everyone's right to judge whatever they see fit in their lives. A judgment is simply a choice/opinion. And, as you said about Diddy, I know this fool could care less about what I think but I still have every right to think it.

Comment: Kanye would do good to take some much-needed time off before he has a dayum stroke!!! All of his outlandish behaviors that include profane rantings, outrageous public tantrums, and his over-blown ego do nothing but minimize his great accomplishments. Now, if you or I carried on in a public forum the way that Kanye so regularly does, men in white coats would tote our babblings azzes off in strait-jackets to the nearest nut house. At the rate Kanye is going, I predict that he's headed for a very public breakdown. The signs are all there. If his label and management honestly care about him, they should pull his mental-azz aside and try to get him to understand that, Yes, he's unique in "his" own way, but he ain't no mofo'g Einstein, and will never go down in history as such. So, until he learns to get over himself, he can expect the media to continue handing out less than admirable critiques until he pulls out that wild hair that's irritating him half to death! This young brother needs to remain on the prayer list until further notice.

Comment: Queeie..I do believe that you admitted that people have said that you are "judgemental" so you can parse it as you wish. Your earlier post is indicative of that. I would kindly offer that you grew up in a household where you were taught to turn down your nose at those who weren't raised like you and stand on a throne in judgment. Obviously, your parents had no problem w/you being that way and only reinforced the "goody 2 shoes" attitude that you have. Your parents thought you were holier than thou. Thus, demonstrated in your dialogue.

Comment: Coming from someone who has kids, if the most they become as adults is opinionated, arrogant and stubborn, I'll take it! I also know that this arrogant stuff works for Kanye since he is selling out tickets etc. To the poster, huey I think, I disagree with your post because while his is a "just a rapper", he is also a producer who makes beats. He may not know how to play every instrument but he's more musically inclined than you think. Do you listen to rap or are you not a fan? I'm curious.
