Comment: this just ain't right, no way: convicted Feb. 1 on three misdemeanor counts. U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges sentenced him April 24 to the maximum three years in prison . . . . . more disparate justice

Comment: Some of these federal prisons are like resorts. You can walk outside, soak up the sun, meditate. Vick is playing touch football every other day. Just go on in, Wesley, and get this out of the way. You can then pretend it was tougher than it was, and leverage the notoriety to re-establish your career as an actor.

Comment: Ron Isley was allowed to remain free until his appeals were exhausted. It's a non violent crime and the longer he takes to get to his cell the more prolonged his suffering and once inside - well having one's freedom taken away - that's just painful.

Comment: I hope his appeals go through and he doesn't go to jail. I hope they just make him pay a fine impose another type of penalty and be done with it. As I stated before, I don't believe ANYONE should go to jail for not paying taxes.

Comment: I think three years is too hard for a misdemeanor. He didn't kill anybody. The IRS could just take all the money he owes along with a heavy penalty and let a real criminal have Wesley's spot.

Comment: duckapoo...it doesn't matter what you "think"...he was egregious in his willful disobedience of the law. Not "killing" anybody is irrelevant. It's called tax law.
It's the same law that gave Ron Isley 3 years too.
You can't willfully disregard the law, threaten the IRS not to come after you and then complain about the sentence after you're convicted.

Comment: If Snipes would've paid from the jump and not gone to trial he likely wouldn't have gone to jail. But instead he wanted to go head up with the IRS and lost...as most do.
Now he has to do the time. That's on him, not some "unfair" sentence.
