Comment: This incident just confirms my contention that 'black' Philly Mayor Michael "Nutcake" Nutter who was instrumental in the Pennsylvania defeat of Barack Obama and an ardent supporter and apologizer of Hillary Clinton, must be the BIGGEST unka-Tom save Clarence Thomas on the east coast. To say that a group of burly ALL-WHITE officers kicking the shyt out of three BLACK men isn't racist is beyond belief!!! This is Rodney King all over again and "NO!" we just can't get along. Michael Nutter oughta be arrested for trying to impersonate a "Big City Black Mayor". I wonder what the Black Folks of his city of 'brotherly' love think about his tommin' arse!!!

Comment: Did you hear the "Nutter" on TJMS this morning fanteeking? He was still spouting that same b.s., although when asked he said he "thinks" it was one Black man in the mob but that he really didn't know the races of the officers. Wonder what his dumbazz has to say now that Billary has said fluck the Black vote; she's pulling in uneducated yt folks..the folks that put her over the top in Pennsylvania!

Comment: Winn: I just think NUT-ter wants to be considered the new kind of NEGRO in America. You know, the obedient, trustworthy, reliable, docile NEGRO who yt can trust to do his evil bidding. He should realize full well that Hillary is playin' the "race card" big time now and he's in cahoots with her. I think Hillary got an evil and deceitful ace up her sleeve now. Why would she spend another 6 Million on her flegling campaign if she didn't have something big to let jump out de box? She's a smart politician and know she's about to unleash some bullshirt!!

Comment: fanteeking, you typed everything I planned to type. This guy is really delusional or a serious uncle Tom. I hate to cast him as that because of his support for Hillary, but claiming he doesn't know the race of the SUSPENDED OR REASSIGNED OFFICERS is typical cop cover up crap. You'd expect more from a black man who knows police/black suspect history. I'm familiar with the commissioner Chief Ramsey. He's that sorry lump of lard that just got fired right here in D.C. He's just collecting a check..

Comment: DrKnowItAll: I was in Silver Spring, MD all last week and saw that Chief Ramsey story on DC TV. I just think Nutter is tommin' for a position in the Clinton cabinet but the fool doesn't realize that there ain't gonna be a Clinton cabinet. He, along with, racist Hoosier Evan Bayh, think that the Bunny Rabbit is gonna pull a victory out of the basket for Hillary...ain't gonna happen. If, Bayh was to ever be considered for anything, we Black Hoosiers know how racist this dog is!! His Daddy, Birch Bayh was one of the most outstanding politicians (oxymorn?) in Indiana History. He was well-loved, BUT too righteous for this racist, conservative snake-pit of a state. I got his picture in my office. But, his son is 180 degrees the other way. A snobbish, racist, snake oil salesman who'd sell his own Mama down the river for a late nite nomination!!! Yaw don't know Bayh like we do!!!

Comment: I wondered about that Ramsey because no matter what anyone said he keeps on insisting that "none of us were there" so "we don't know what was being said" and "please don't be quick to judgement based on what you saw" and all the time i'm like WTF..anyone can write the caption for this 'ish and i'm sure some "n" words were used!!

Comment: I can't say that I'm surprised at the police. This is another bit of confirmation of what they think of Black people. And I can't say that I'm surprised in Nutter's reaction/inaction. I wonder which is more sad... that this happened in 2008 or that the response was so poor given what our eyes and the videotape just witnessed.

Comment: It obviously shows the cops pulling the men out of their car and beating them repeatedly for no reason. The men didn't fight the cops or resisted arrest, so the cops should not have resorted to violence. Was it racially motivated? I don't know. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. If it was racially motivated, it should elevated to a hate crime. None of us were there, so we can't say it was racially motivated. All I know is the cops were wrong for doing this to those men and I hope they get disciplined for their vile actions.

Comment: What these officer's did was wrong, but violence begets violence. That seems to be the only way people in our community know how to handle conflict. Know you have their mothers on her coddling these grown %*$ men, which is part of the problem. I don't condone what they did, but we need to put ourselves on blast with the violence that's being committed in big inner cities like Philadelphia and my city, Chicago.

Comment: I'll take back my response as to the issue of whether this was racially motivated. We don't know whether it was. But I greatly suspect that it was racially motivated. What is CLEAR is that this was abuse by police and possibly a crime was committed. There is no question about that, and although we cannot know with certainty that this was motivated by race, we cannot say the opposite is true with any more certainty.

Comment: I think part of the problem is the type of people that are recruited for police officers. Unfortunately, its a job that most people don't want and it sometimes attracts those have bully type personalies and when one of their own gets hurt, some of them seem to lose their minds and will develop a mob mentality. Detroit, although a mostly black police force, has lots of problems with police brutality. A few years back I heard this brotha on the radio speaking on the topic. He was a former federal agent and he said the problem was mostly lack of training and appropriate screening to weed out certain personality types. His point was that when you have a high risk job, you need very stable personalities and a lot of police officers have issues. He also pointed out how you rarely seen such scenes involving state troopers or federal agents because the level of screening is greater than local police departments many of which will let almost anyone in.
