Comment: Where is Melody Cool? Melody you may just be right about certain things, I tried to ignore some little things that set me off, but now I can not. Uhmmm.... If Rupert Murdock endorses Obama, I will have serious problems voting for him in November because Murdock is behind the raciallly divissive Faux News Network. Yes, something is definitely is fishy about this endorsment to me.

Comment: That’s interesting you have Clinton showing up on rightwing news shows on this network. That would be wild if Murdock endorses Obama. Politics sure does make strange bedfellows.

Comment: FiveMore, the article should have included that Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth Murdoch endorsed and has fundraised for Obama. A tidbit from this article, http://news.muckety.com/2008/04/02/elisabeth-murdoch-f ollows-own-path-to-obama/1741: "Sure, she may want to run her father’s billion-dollar empire some day. But it is likely that Obama’s story has particular resonance for Elisabeth Murdoch, whose first husband, Elkin Kwesi Pianim, is Ghanian, and with whom she has two children." On one hand, Fivemore, I feel you, it does give you pause when a snake like Murdoch looks favorably on someone, lol, on the other though, I tire of this "ooh, I don't know about him, I'm suspicious, be afraid, be very afraid" type argument, lol. Unless you can point to something Obama has done specifically I think it's best to give him the benefit of the doubt. I liken your thoughts to John McCain's spin: Since Hamas said something nice about him, you should be very afraid, lol. It's unfair not to mention disingenuous. Just my opinion...

Comment: I'm not impressed! Too much talk of these white moneyed conservative men voting for Obama because McCain is sure to beat him. Of course I have every belief that Obama will prevail and cause a few coronaries because these rusty dusties will surely be surprised to death and points in between and never make it to Obama's Inaugural festivities once he is elected potus!

Comment: because Murdoch endorses a candidate some will not vote for that candidate? First off, this guy is a businessman. If Fox news is making him money then I don't see him changing anything there. This is the same premise that many of us argued for in Obama's defense saying that he can sit in Rev. Wright's church for many years and NOT share the same views on everything. Don't become a hypocrite now!!!!. Secondly, maybe his daughter's opinion matters more to him than that of O'Reilly, Hannity or Juan Williams. I'm so amazed at how easily people change their views because of someone else's stance. What about your own stance?? I would love to see what O'Reilly and Hannity have to say once this endorsement is made official.

Comment: Another trick to throw us off - not gonna fall for. Everybody is going to endorse him now ESPECIALLY the bought-off black politicians - they'll be the main ones in the photo-ops cheesing - because he's winning now. Everybody wants to be on the side of the winner. Where were they when he needed them?

Comment: I guess it is to be expected for this possibility to draw pause and speculation from many, but the reality is that FOX news as racially biased as it comes across many times probably does not reflect every ideal of Rupert Murdoch. FOX is the number news show and Obama is still in the lead, so obviously no matter what they do or say still does not ultimately change the prespective of the american people as a whole. I must say that FOX asks harder questions of the candidates than other news broadcast do most of the times. Actually the media loves Mr. Obama. Most seem enamored by his rock star status and charisma, so I do not really have a problem with FOX going after him hard at times. I think in the end, it will make him a better candidate and in the end a better president, which ultimately will benefit you or I far more.

Comment: Maverick, I think there's a difference in "going after him hard" and being outright disingenuous and distorting facts to further a gain. There is a difference in asking hard questions and insinuating guilt. From Hannity to O'Reilly to whomever else, that network seems OBSESSED with insinutations about Obama. They do not play the role of "journalists," they are pundits disguised as journalists...which is what makes them dangerous, not to mention repulsive.

Comment: Of course Murdock will endorse Obama. It will likely turn into a ratings coup for the channel once Obama is in office. With Barack being both Black and a Democratic president, the channel will have more fodder with Barack in office than they would with their republican friend, McCain in office.

Comment: From TGen: "From Hannity to O'Reilly to whomever else, that network seems OBSESSED with insinutations about Obama..." Along those lines, last night on his radio show, Hannity said what Hillary needs now is another bomb shell on Obama. And instead of leaving it at that, he colored an example from thin air: "A bombshell such as Barack Obama and Louis Farrakan are good friends." No facts that Obama and Farrakan are busom buddies, just Hannity pulling an insinuation out of his azz, which off course floats over the air waves to millions. If I were Obama, I'd have my people listening o these shows and filing defamation lawsuits as necessary.

Comment: FiveMore, here I am babe. You'd think Rupert would call off his attack dogs on Faux news. Black folks are gonna be sorely disappointed with Obama as he keep sucking up to nonblacks. Please read Betty Pleasant's article on his snub of the black media...and don't forget the comments. There's one from a latina detailing how many millions he spent on advertising with them and didn't go campaigning where blacks lived...his surrogates were dispatched for this mission. Obama thinks nothing of taking blacks for granted because he knows they'll settle for it...while other groups want. -----> http://www.blackagendareport.com/index.php?option=com_ content&task=view&id=599 <----

Comment: The same Hannity who so gleefully crowed about how he so-called "broke" the Rev Wright story. And got mad when OReilly claimed the same. Last weeks. Show Hannity's America featured Trinity's new pastor in a less than flattering light. And to my disgust had a brother on whom he gave credit for bringing the original story to his attention. No shame

Comment: He's not going to get anywhere by focusing on the negative - he'll get somewhere by OVERCOMING the negative. Yeah there are a bunch of ignorant racists white trash that don't want him in office. Why should he give them a voice? Move and roll with those that roll with him - like they say 'Those that love me - follow' later for the rest...

Comment: MelodyCool! What up, girlfriend! When we gonna hook up? Anyway, you said: "Obama thinks nothing of taking blacks for granted because he knows they'll settle for it..." Replace "Obama" with "McCain". Is it still a true statement? Yes it is. Therein lies the quandry because those are the only two relevant choices you got.

He has NOT taken us for granted. I can't believe the amount of hate out there from our OWN PEOPLE. You all need to form a group with Tavis with his backwards azz. It takes a lot of confidence which Obama had because if he had to rely on us. Please. Pathetic.
