Comment: Say it Darryl! We are too stupid to even acknowledge each other's presence in public while we kiss white folks a** all the while grinnin' and skinnin'.

Comment: "Blackness has very little meaning and substance to most of us. Talk to a few people across a wide age range and you will find that there is little sense of community. This is one of the prime reasons why previously demeaning behavior and activities are now celebrated," Now that there REALLY resonated with me for I've been saying it for years! Nihilism will be the end of our race! And DL Hughley...don't even get me started on him. Funny/talented brother; yet a sell out simultaneously!

Comment: "It will get to the point where whites will tell Blacks what being a %*$!(@ is and claim to be more %*$!(@-like than them. Wait—we’re already there."
This is priceless.
Great article.

Comment: it's not that hard to be souled out when we don't bother to protect our spiritual center (our spirtual center is not the same as being religious) . . . . . and the further we get from our spirtual center the less soul we have even if it's not souled

Comment: True indeed, kday—that’s why I had to back off from relationship coaching—people didn’t want advice, they wanted confirmation of their ideas, which were all about blaming the other sex. And, really, I couldn’t even get them to acknowledge that they should start by saying "hello."
And, Wow, Harris, that is so on point. And, I’m certain that ultra-religious zealots would view this as an attack on their religion, but if we were more spiritually centered, there would be more of us being true in church and as a result, more of us in church. But when the churches souled out, they began to focus on the size of the congregation and the building fund, instead of the good works they were supposed to do.

Comment: DarrylJames.... I am in tears. I have preached this to deaf ears for many years, perhaps not so eloquently. I never thought I'd live to see the day when the people whose strength was so great, they not only withstood, but thrived despite 400 + years of the most heinous, horrendous institution known to humankind would start to peddle back toward it. It hurts so bad.

Comment: Thank you, Darryl, for tellin' the truth - again!! Like willetta1, I've cried many tears about our black folks dissin' black folks, about a lost generation of youth, about their disdain for our history. When will it end?
