Comment: You are so right. With no where else to turn they fall back on racism. Fasten your seat belts folks, this ride is about to get bumpy.

Comment: Exactly. No surprises here. This is still Amerikkka. This Presidential contest is going to get uglier and uglier as we get closer to November. I, for one, will NOT be surprised if McCain gets into the white house. They want to keep the white house "white" at any cost.

Comment: Cam, I really like your comment that " Racism hasn’t been fashionable in the U.S. for a few decades." I think the message that has to be delivered over and over again is that "racism is out of style." It's a simple message that everyone young and old can get behind. Great insight.

Comment: When I saw the title of the article I thought it meant silver streak as in the older population as in older white people. Those have been the ones who have been voting for Clinton. It's still something to think that the white folks that are in their 60's and over who where supposedly of the love generation of the 60's are also those who are adamantly racist. It's cool to say you know of a black person but you sure don't want to work for one and damn sure don't want to have the country run by one. I fear for Obama.

Comment: Racism has always been fashionable. But it's like fashionable underwear. It's there but you don't see it.
