Comment: Before Barack Obama became a certified phenomenon he was preceded by Frederick Douglas, Marcus Garvey, MLK, JFK, Civil Rights Movement, Thurgood Marshall, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton!!!!!! Just think 40 years ago there were seperate drinking fountains, bathrooms, lynchings, and deliberate dog attacks! My, my, my how things have come to change in this nation and still, there is much work to be done! ***Barack Obama's accolade should inspire the downtrodden to get up and get out and do something for themselves. His presence should inspire men of color to embrace ONE YOUTH and mentor him until he realizes his untapped talents! AND FOR THE WOMEN: Before Hillary cracked the glass ceiling there was trailblazer Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Lady Diana, and now Nancy Pelosi. It is my prayer that women will continue to stand on the front lines fighting for equality! But, this moment in time belongs to Barack Obama. Congratulations! For the first time in my ADULT LIFE I am proud to be alive to witness this milestone - there is hope for a brighter tomorrow!

Comment: generally, I have no respect for politicians because they lie, lie, lie . . . . . . Sen. O-BA-MA!! inspires hope for me that standard political operating procedures will change so that polticians represent the people who elected them rather than the special interests who buy them
