Comment: Dang, does anyone in Hollywierd have an original thought? I'm so sick of the "black" this and the "black" that. When are we going to be people. Yes, teach the children to be tolerant, but differentiate by color in their TV programs. Sheesh! When we teach our children pride at home, there's no need for them to look at TV for it. Why not a show about a White Mel B? My daughter and I will be passing, thanx!!

Comment: As for looking for images of myself, I was never taught to look for myself outside myself. My mom very definitely and assuredly taught me that what happens on TV has nothing to do with my life. That the shows with the people I wanted to be like were written by others for a 30 minute show, and unlike life, has a beginning, middle and end, and things are over when the director says CUT!!!!. I was taught to look to my history, and not commercial TV for correct images of myself. Hollywood is written and has an agenda to entertain, not necessarily educate. Also, we shouldn't want to be like others because we don't know what they had to do to get there.

She at 15 is allegedly going out with a 22 year old and her mom "allegedly" is not happy about it (I didn't hear anything about how her dad feels about it).
