Comment: Fine Ed, if you need another daughter call me, although what I have in mind may be illegal in a lot of states!!! That said, I love the concept, I hope it works, I loved my father. A/A men do get the short end of the stick more often than not. I know there are dead beats of all races, but I'm staying in MY lane. Happy Father's day fellas!!!

Comment: To all the dad's out there who are active in there kids life, who have fought through the daily struggles with the baby mommas or ex-wives but despite all that, continue to be little league coaches and involve in school activies. To all the dads who gets child support deducted from their paycheck every two weeks and still spend there own hard earned money on there kids on visitation days, HAPPY FATHER"S DAY BROTHERS.

Comment: You are right nightshift...it doesn't make any sense for Ed Gordon to be that fine...I have been salivating over that man since I was in middle school...lol. However, this is a wonderful thing that Ed is doing. I do believe that the African American community does not support fathers enough. It is fantastic to see our fathers and all fathers for that matter, represented in such a positive light! Good looking out Ed!

Comment: I love this...it's an idea whose time has finally come. What a wonderful thing Mr. Gordon is doing to shine a light on all the wonderful Black fathers who are doing the damn thing. I can't wait to upload a picture of me and my father.

Comment: Young ladies need to have a positive male role model in their life. (same for the males) Females will choose what they know/see or keep looking for what they are missing. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY! This is the first without your physical presence but knowing that you are watching over me now makes me more proud of you!!! I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!

Comment: Now "this" brotha is one..... to be like!! I met this dude.."back in the day" when he was at BET, & he was cool!! I always thought he hasn't been used enough/at the "right gig"! MSNBC snatched his as-s from BET after that "tight as-s O.J. interview, but he's had a VERY low key every since! HE should replace Ed BRADLEY on 60 min.!! And this idea is just a small indentation of why he should've "blown up" WAY larger than he is now!!! Keep "reping us right" Ed!!! Holla!

Comment: kidfree:....Sorry to hear about your lost!!! My wish is that the memories only make you "smile" & that you...."make it through"!, I know "that's" what HE would want for you!! sml! Take care, lady!!

Comment: Once again it appears bad news travels faster than good. For years there have been marvelous fathers who simply have been overlooked because we were more the norm, weren't that glamorous and plainly, not what some folks might consider good looking. Being a real parent is rarely glamorous and has fairly little to do with looking good. Years ago I wrote a book entitled, "Dear Rhonda, Life Lessons from a Father to His Daughter." We even had the opportunity to speak at the Harlem Book Festival. My greatest moment at the entire affair was being met as I departed the stage by a group of fathers who said I had managed to put into words what they felt. I know it will take a while, but sooner or later we will awake from our celebrity worship and realize the responsibility, honor, love and work involved with being a true father has not changed.
