Comment: I hope Latifah get's her paycheck - she is a big girl; her curves are just hiding under fat; good for her loosing the weight and inches because you feel so much better when you are not carrying around a lot of extra baggage and weight around your heart; makes your heart muscle have to work even harder with too much fat around it.

Comment: SMDH at some of the posts. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinions. Full-figured women, even Latifah's size have curves. I am not necessarily talking about the ones with rolls, but Latifah didn't fit into that category either. She does appear to have curves and is very beautiful. There are some smaller women that don't look as good in dresses or jeans for that matter than she does on occasions. I believe she is on the right track as it relates to health which should be the main objective. Only a dog wants a bunch of bones!

Comment: LOL @ the "curves" comments. When 'Tifah wears fitted stuff, I see curves. She can throw down, throw on some Spanx and look like some Mae West when she wants to! Most of the time, I see her in loose stuff that HIDES her curves. So IMO, the curves are there. She just...doesn't flaunt them all the time.

As a big girl I love another big girl who has a good spirit, looks good (instead of waiting to look good after losing the weight) and admits there is an issue and admitting to having to work hard to get to the desired goal instead of making snarky comments about people who are smaller (because that's how I do it.) She is very attractive and has come a long way as far as style. I wish her well, she'll be my inspiration to continue to try---HEY and remember all of my big friends not gaining more weight is an accomplishment too !!! Mas90---I'm impressed you weren't overly harsh about a big girl LOL.

Comment: mas90: you are right. I was never a small girl. I was always big boned and then I became an emotional eater through all the drama starting with my parents divorce when I was 9. I got sick 2 years ago where working out played havoc with my chronic illness so I gained weight until one day I just decided I was not gonna be one of those big people on Maury povich who can't get out of their house.lol So I pop some advil and pray that the pain isn't unbearable and go for what I know....walking a minimum of 4 miles a day. and now I am happy to say I work out for about an hour and a half everyday without taking advil anymore;-)

And actually, I feel for women w/"too much" I've known a few women, and a family member who had a reduction done and it helped them a lot. Being on the pom squad w/a girl who used to almost knock herself out everytime we marched cured me of wanting the big girls. I like my little perky girls - always have. I can still go bra-less at 35. The only thing is getting cold...everybody knows...
