Comment: Allrightey...now if you are registerd to vote, Young Jeezy, and see that action through to completion on Election Day, I'll forgive you for barely speaking English. Better yet, since he motivates you, encourage your brothers and sistas in the hood to do the same. I heard your Barack Obama cut. Don't just talk about the man. Talk about how to get the man ELECTED.

Comment: Go somewhere, sit down and STFU, Jeezy.

Comment: The change is that Obama has got these uneducated rappers thinking and trying to articulate their thoughts. I'm just glad to know he has a reason other than 'he's black' for supporting Obama. I also like that he has an example of bushit politricks that will be followed through by mccain right at home.

Comment: I feel Jeezy, at least he kept it real once encountered with McCain, I dont know the stats of how many uneducated rappers but to be a school dropout & to accomplish a deal with a major label, sale millions, become big money status & help others in the process, that's more than some can say who has gone to college & still doing normal things...

Comment: y the brotha gotta go sit down and STFU. is he not entitled to his opinion like the rest of us? no, he ain't the most articulate, but everybody can't b "tavis smiley like". black people r a diverse people and we gotta stop tearing each other down. i mean damn at least he didn't say he was voting 4 BO because he's black. he obviously has some sense.

Comment: McCain don't know nuthin 'bout no dayum Usher...He thought they were talking 'bout the Blackman who ushers them to their seats in the theatre...He probably can't name one dayum song..."Oh yeah, he was that fine, young, Blackman who ushered us to our seats...He even sang a song and did a lil dance while he led us to our seats...nice young Blackman, very nice"...

Comment: I have no expectation that a rapper will be 'tavis smiley like' and certainly give them props when they negotiate AND understand the deals they make. I feel that mixing and mingling outside the rap world is gonna be a big help to them because a lot of them think what they are and the way they are is all there is - it is not! I'm not stuck on degrees as some are because although they think it is the measure of a person - again, it is not! I'm an advocate for the unversity of the streets but I'm also an advocate for raising yourself up - we don't have to keep wallowing just cause that's where we started.

Comment: and next time on "when dumb azz rappers talk"...

Comment: CTFU @ B00TANEB00TUS's comment

Comment: BIG COSIGN on butterpecanrican's post. Thumbs down on Kulchaman's post celebrating a dude making money RAPPING, of all things, despite being a school dropout. That should be the (ABNORMAL) exception, not the rule.

Name: Closet_Nerd_Girl
Comment: Not trying to defend McCain, but the old man probably went into shock when the first words out of Jeezy's mouth were "The hood is fuhked up!" and didn't know how to respond. Or, he may have just wanted to avoid another outburst. I wonder what the outcome would have been if Jeezy had instead said- "Mr. McCain, my mother needs surgery but has no insurance. What do you plan to do to help people like my mother?"

Name: Closet_Nerd_Girl
Comment: >Butterpecan- Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!!

Name: Kulchaman
Comment: not saying i was celebrating him for rapping, just saying he goes through adversity as well, not saying everyone should live by this..would you feel better if it was a singer, it's all the music industry

Name: Gurlfrand
Comment: lol at Boot - you are probably right - sometimes "they" translate things a little differently than we do!

Name: Southernbelle
Comment: Hey, every vote counts and if Jeezy can make even a small difference we'll take him too. Besides, hip hop artists come up with some catchy phrases" ...about recession, Barack's about progression". Right on Jeezy!!!

Name: dport
Comment: Closet_Nerd_Girl, I came here to post very similar sentiments. Hell, if you even call a customer service area you can get your call disconnected with that kind of profanity-laced tirades. Yeah, he signed and deal and making millions but if you got an issues present it properly or hire or VOTE someone to do it for you!
